The Michael Bay Transformers movie is a joke. It is a blockbuster movie with animated giant robots, bad acting, a horrendous story, but it did have some impressive rendering. Nothing about this feature says Transformers to me.
Every aspect felt board-meeting-contrived and lacked any sense of staying true to the original feel of these characters. "Not your fathers Transformers" is another way of saying "We're going to show you what you SHOULD like, but we can't say that it'll be good."
I could go on, but it's really not worth my time. Just like this movie.

This generic notice has been submitted to your personal community message board on account of your having exhibited an enviable flare for artistic delivery through use of your gallery space, in conjunction with a presumed affinity (to a certain degree) with the enduring Transformers franchise. 
So why the impromptu dissertation, you might well ask? 
Please rest assured that one needn't feel compelled to digest the entirety of my long-winded review (I do admittedly comport a tendency to WAFFLE...!).

Micheal Bay's version of Transformers is it's own entity to me. Disconected from the things that I liked about the original show and movie......He likes big almost non-character robots.
Hence the inability for many people to tell the new robots apart . Even though they do have unique designs, The personalities were so barely defined that you have to assume alot about how he views them.
The toys are awful, They don't lend them selves to be played with they are made of the cheapest plastics, Kids will not have fond memories of their new shity toys.
I would rather have seen a completely 3-d movie that re-estabished the franchise from the ground up and given more time to the developement of the Transformers them selves.
What Micheal bay did was give us one of the weakest car chases ever seen by a modern day audience, a dilusional time frame in respect to what was occuring .
I at first liked the movie because it was finally time to share Transformers with everybody who seemed to have missed it, or was to young to enjot it when it origianly came out.
But when I realized what is was doing to the other TF lines I was pissed. They Put a hold on TF: Classics to keep pumping out garbage that no TF collector would want to buy.
Bad move the toy lines are strong enough to self support, without dissregaurding your customers.
