A companion piece to this: fiveelemenets.deviantart.com#/β¦Once again killing my self over all the little tiny circles in the chainmail (why horace? why?) (though I did tweek his design somewhat...) I thought his other short lived alter ego deserved a little credit. Hmm book ten might need a drawing now... anyway I drew this because Horace needed more drawings of him. (and before you comment, Yes I didnt draw him with a helm. 1 I am too lazy, 2 the conical helm doesn't look all that heroic, and 3 he look better with out one!)

Yes it does look a little small however historically they were small (under 16 inches across) and were used as a companion weapon with a sword during the medieval period and earlier renaissance. They had poor protection from missile weapons (arrows
