Description I don't expect anyone else but me to like this one. I'm always drawn to the odd and slightly off. Which is why I didn't submit it weeks ago when I took it.

But I'm constantly drawn to it for some reason (I think it's that odd sense of movement and strange composition), and decided to hell with it. I'm posting it.

I'm totally drawn to it too. There's so much to look at. The background blurs are so soft and smooth, while the foreground is so sharp and harsh!

It's a different kind of nature picture. It's almost a little abstract because the branches are coming out of nowhere.

I think the strength is not the subject, but your interpretation of it. Shallow depth of field, seeing the lines and instinctively composing them in the frame, and of course the softness contrasted by hard line. I think you did well.

I like the focus! The warm redish brown tones in this piece makes it look kinda autumn-y.

I'd have to say, this picture nails the focal point, as well as the DOF. The only problem is that the branches that you've photographed don't really sayi> anything. It's a lovely picture, with a very nice looking subject and tones. The meaning is a little weak. The progression from Winter to Spring has been represented, but only slightly.

Only slightly. Don't tell anybody.

On a side note, it seems I've forgotten how to close my <i>i> tags.

I enjoy this piece the most I think.
You're right, and it's that something that you can't put your finger on that I tend to get most excited by.
I tend to see images in musical terms. This is a Pixies track.
That's a good thing. I see food in musical terms too. Pasta is Bjork.
I so gotta shut up...

The focus and the delicate little water droplets are gorgeous. My brain doesn't have the capacity for writing critiques at the moment, but I didn't want to pass by and say nothing

I like it quite a bit, especially the tiny droplets of rain water that pick off the thorns and the deep redish browns against the light background.

I am with you, i love this. The focus is wonderful, and i love the sharp frame of the branches in contrast with the very soft background. Spiky and soft and delicious!
