Description
*update:
was so kind and made a proper poster presentation of the rocket/missile themed Sonderkampfläufer.
a big thanks for that, as they can be seen with all the details by now.
In Operation Dragonslayer the Sonderkampfläufer (SdKlf) is the -actually walking- workhorse of the German army, like the halftrack SdKfz 7 or 250. With only light armor, they started out as troop carriers or supply vehicles, but their sturdiness and versatility combined with cheap productions costs made them popular with the troops and made it the perfect platform for a number of offensive and support versions.
Here you can see an array of different versions missile systems, the Germans fielded in the last year of the war in the hope of changing the outcome of the war.
The support vehicles can be seen here:

Schon cool die ganzen 'klassischen' Elemente einzubauen um ein glaubhaftes Dieselpunk-Setting durch Technologie darzustellen. Sehr geiler Job^^

Thanks mate! Way better now! Thought I als add the SdKlf abbrevations like you did on the old poster, as this is the least thing I could do...

I just noticed on the Support page. So glad you did that!
Man, a bunch of these would look so cool as weapon-arms for mech destroyers. Like #11 would be so cool on the JadgPzf III Freya; i think those swept up launch pylons would almost give her a vampire-like look. Might have already designed a version of her w/ a #2 Nebelwerfer arm.
#4 Would be great on a medium MD (maybe a tad too heavy for a light mech?). I did the Heavy Fafnir JagdPzf w/ 3 x Sturmmorsers on one side, so that seems fair.
#6 also a really sweet look. Would change the visual character of any MD that equips it in a cool way. And I was thinking... maybe Pzf VII Siegfried could even pull those off as side-shoulder mounted weapons.
Others would make excellent back units too.

Aaah and btw did you have a look at the SketchUp file where I played around with the base shape of the SdKlf? Some forms are shit, but others I do actually like...
That's were I also did the Sturmmörser the first time...
Best

Yes I did. And I have the same assessment you do; some are awesome, other not the best, but clearly worthwhile to experiment. Is that where the elongated transport body came from in #12 of support page?
I also really liked the one up front w/ the cannon jammed right in like a destroyer. Overall, the sleek elongated body is a good look, like the SdKfz-231. Very cool. The whole accentuated halftrack or armored car vibe worked well. Very convincing and authentic.
Was only some boys in the back of the train that were a little off... but their hull shape put me in mind of landing craft or amphibeous vehicle. So maybe that could work if put into said context.

Yeah, now that they are done, they could be used to equip whatever mech destroyer ( and I tried to model them as flexible as possible so a different method of mounting them isn't too hard).
Yeah the Sturmmörser should work on a medium mech, though the triple design on the Fafnir is even more impressive and shouldn't be left out. The swept up design should really look vampiric! Haven't thought of that one, only thought of exchanging arms with the Enzian ( this one maybe a bit scaled up for a heavier mech!) ...
Managed to work a bit more on the ISU 152 today, so the Russians get their share, do need to built up an arsenal for them, as the Germans have enough and doing stuff for them is soo much easier and faster and so I tend to do more for them. Have to be more disciplined now!

Agree Enzian is ideal for a heavy mech.
Happy to hear you found time for the lobster! I would absolutely love a Russian arsenal build up! The available stuff worked so well for "Woglinde" (pzf-38t). LMK if you are interested in ideas there, because I always have plans for upcoming brutes, as you can imagine. Some no brainers there, like; PPSH style gun (per the bigger MP-40), a large hammer and sickle for melee... and just adapting common classic cannons w/ common ammo size like you did for Siegmunde.
BT7 side rockets, great for light MD arms or shoulder mounts: www.reddit.com/r/Warthunder/co…
and I will definitely need a big 152mm held bazooka style for the KV-2 mech. I'm sure your design would surpass mine, but maybe wait to see my sketch first. + that one has a very cool and original sort of vicious cylindrical shredder weapon. Heavy use only. With independent gas supply. Exhaust pipes on melee weapons are always badass.
Just curious -how come it is easier to make German materiel? Because less round and more angular?
All that said, we could also use an American buildup too (Thompson MG, grease gun, combat knife, etc...) But no pressure. Just for down the road and to think about. I don't wanna overload you. If you did a small fraction of the German arsenal, that is already a big amount! You are a natural w/ weapons design!

My fault, never meant, that German stuff is easier, so in some respect it is, as everything is very 'kantig' aka edgy, just meant it is more tempting to model a German mech, as there is so much pre made parts which are already available, so it is faster and you are already at point where you can play with and equip it.
Oh and the BT7 side rockests are boss, they would work perfectly as shoulder mounts or arms. Thinking of a 152mm gun with twin cylinders as ammo supply one with the shell and the other one with the powder, you mentioned it back in the day, and adapting the top mounted degatyrev magazine for a big gun.
Oh gotta run...

Yes, I'm glad you remembered that.
I forgot about the degtyrarev top loading ammo wheel idea. I guess that was tried here, tho a little hard to tell in this view that it is actually round: Russian Heavy Mech
My (current) idea for the 152mm bazooka, aside from having a nice blast shield, is like you recall having separate top loading change and projectile cartridges, but a little different; was thinking one big banana in back, and then in front - 2 or 3 smaller projectile clips (also banana shaped), side by side, so that the ammo type can be switched easily. Does that make sense? I can sketch it.
Technically, I think that is what's going on here, but not at all visible from this perspective: Heavy Soviet Destroyer: ROZA
only imagine it so.
