I was the heartless at A-kon19, San-Japan1.5 and Ikkicon3, and san japan 2. Has been fun but, no more.this was the first introduction I did for the heartless cosplay, it's first convention- A-con19, sorry the picture is extremely small.
Heartless~~
~A small story~
To be honest, this costume was my second one to make fully (save for the leotard) and I accidentally stumbled upon the idea to make it in two weeks. and SURPRISE! I popped out with the costume after getting back into kingdom hearts.
For all of you who have asked and have been wanting to ask- here is what I used.
Materials:
Acrylic paint.
Styrofoam
thick aluminum wire
leotard
foam flip-flops
fleece
black thin broadcloth
pantie-hoes
Bike helmet
epoxy glue
Half face mask- starting from forehead and ending at nose.
Cheep cotton yellow cloth.

By far i gotta say i like this heartless cosplay more then most others because it show's sorta the sharpness of the heartless and the more demon like look of them. anyways good job ^^

It looks awesome, but one thing:
Was it not absolutely boiling inside that for the whole convention? And can you see through the eyes?

The body isn't hot at all, it's like running around naked honestly. Though, it was hot in the head piece before I fixed it.
(Urg, I wish I could show you. I am not that great at explaining things...)
No, I can't see out of the yellow eyes; I see out from just underneath them in the black cloth. (it's the kind of cloth that you can see out of but no one can see in.)

Can I ask HOW you made the spikes coming off of the heartless' head? And the spikes on the hands?

Antennas are made from cloth and a wire frame to match the helmet. the claws are cut out and sanded Styrofoam with heavy black acrylic paint.

I used Styrofoam and heavy based Acrylics for the claws.

No, they didn't break, and the Acrylic paint didn't chip or crack, and it was mainly there to keep the foam from getting wet, the foam was the sturdy part. ^_^

I'm doing the same type of costume so I'm trying to figure out how to work it.

ah, so you're going to do a neo shadow heartless? Neat, I will be glad- I don't like being the only heartless running for it's life at the mob of Soras, Rikus, and other people at conventions. ^_^
I can see fairly well through the hood, but through the mask I had used...not so well- I was piratically blind.
I am currently modifying my costume and almost completely changing both the materials and structure... so, do you want to know the NOW status of the costume structure or when I am done?

Yeah I decided a few months ago that I was going to actually start on the Neo Shadow Heartless [I had wanted to cosplay one since I first saw them], and have officially started now XD
