(WARNING: This is basically a fan fiction idea I wrote for a fiction lantern corps, it contains many things that were present in the comic books of Green Lantern but are rarely known by the average person. If you don't understand it's okay and if you do understand tell me what you thought in the comments bellow. Anyway enjoy.)

Story:
Everyone is aware of the Emotional entities that embody and power the various lantern corps, however, there is one that the universe has desperately attempted to keep hidden for eons. An enigma known as Zail The Grey Jellyfish of Depression (he looks cooler than he sounds)! A viral being that attempts to spread sadness and hopelessness to the galaxy with it's grey rings. Locked away for thousands of eons, the creature laid dormant and was left confined alone as not even the evil guardian Krona would dare attempt to release it until it released itself.
    A slave ship was traveling through the sector in which Zail resided. One of these slaves was known as Tisu-hidoto and was one of the most miserable people in the galaxy. Always crying, always curled up and depressed due to how much pain the universe had caused her. Because of how much of a worthless creature she was, one of the guards suggested to simply throw her out the airlock and save themselves the trouble. Overhearing this discussion, her sadness grew so strong that a grey ring was able to burst through the confines of Zail's prison! Flying all the way to ship just before flushing her out an air lock into the cold vacuum of space. As she was flung from the ship and cold began to take hold of her, the ring landed on her finger transforming her into the first Grey Lantern!
   A Grey Lantern's abilities are simple compared to other lantern corps but they are incredibly effective. Their constructs are only limited to the creation of jellyfish tendrils that protrude from their backs. But these tendrils have immense range and speed, but more importantly are capable of weakening the strength and durability of other lantern constructs. Worst of all, once these
    With it's release, grey rings went flying through the cosmos to seek new members to spreads sadness to it's denizens. After that, it began it's efforts to destroy it's hated enemy, Adara: The Blue Eagle of Hope! First making it's way to Quard, with yellow energy being able to increase the power of the Grey Lantern's it sought out the Central battery of The Sinsetro Corps. With the Yellow lanterns helpless to stop the beast, Zail ripped the battery from the planet and began it's journey to Odym in which the blue battery resides!
    With the Green Lantern Corps desperately attempting to quell the situation and stop this monster, , then the illusive Indigo Tribe arrived on Oa to offer their assistance. According to Indigo 1, similar to how the presence of a yellow ring causes deactivation of a green power ring, so to did the presence of a indigo staff caused the deactivation of a grey lantern ring, at last they had a plan. With Zail at the Blue Lanterns doorsteps, Saint Walker and his Blue Lanterns were fighting back against the invading forces while waiting for help that they were told was on it's way. However even the Blue Lanterns were beginning to loose hope, as they continued to desperately avoid the attacks of both the Grey Lantern's and Zail as they attempt to get the Yellow Battery out of Zails grasp to at least gain back up from the Green Lanterns. But Zail's incredible power things weren't going well, as the creature used it's tentacles to transform Blue Lanterns into new Grey lantern soldiers. Thankfully as all seemed lost, the Indigo Tribe arrived with the Indigo Lantern battery and began weakening Zail and his power! With the monster in disarray, Ganthet and Saintwalker along with several other Blue Lanterns were able to get the Yellow Battery out of Zail's possession and far away from him. And with that the Green Lanterns were finally able to rejoin the fight and the combined efforts of the three lantern corps allowed them to take down the gelatinous blob and free the Grey Lantern's from his control.
    Zail was once again imprisoned but now with several lanterns protecting it so he could never escape again. As for the Grey Lanterns who were chosen by the rings such as Tisu-hidoto the Blue lanterns agreed to take them under their care and help them through their pain so they could work towards a better life.
