For 's Dragon Type Collab

Jesus Christ, this was just such an unfortunate time for me to get such a cool Pokémon. On top of working 60 hour work weeks and barely having any time to work on a huge commission, my cat and best friend of 17 years rapidly lost vitality and died on the 15th. I thought the deadline was later than the 23rd, and had only completed the lineart prior to Oliver's death. Needless to say I really had to rush a submission I really wanted to spend a lot of quality time on. And my computer crashed with an awful virus so I had to take a picture of this and edit it as much as I could on my phone.

Anyways, onto inspirations and flavor text.

So I saw Life right before or right after this was assigned to me and I wanted to incorporate Calvin's biology and design into Zygarde while also referencing a lot off of different types of snakes (cobras, pit vipers, and boas). I wish I had more time to add to it but I also wanted to incorporate the cells and cores. Hopefully it gives off a feeling that it either is finishing completing its 50% form, or building up to the 100% form.

#718- Zygarde (Order Pokémon)

Ever since it's recent discovery, there has been a debate about the biology of Zygarde regarding whether or not it is a solid organism, or a hive of hundreds of smaller individuals. Each cell of Zygarde is multifunctional, acting as an optic cell, a muscle cell, and a nerve cell simultaneously. This unique cellular makeup makes Zygarde a force to be reckoned with. While it slept deep underground, it was able to sense the disturbance between Xerneas and Yveltal on the surface and awakened from its slumber. When it emerged, mysterious cell-like creatures came out from underground as well and attached themselves to the Zygarde and added to its mass and changed both its form and power. Scientists were baffled by the phenomenon, and immediately got to work to creating a capsule to contain the individual cells to study them. Once certain amounts of cells were collected, Sycamore and his students discovered three separate forms so far. While what was called Zygarde 50% emerged to battle the powerful Xerneas and Yveltal, it has been speculated that its 100% form is a truly terrifying force that would require a great calamity to form.
