Well, not quite the first, but the first in competition form either way

My first entry for *abosz007 's Foal Jumping

It's my Dutch Warmblood Duke and his daughter Marquise

As they unloaded Duke at the terrain of RPS, Tory was astonished at his reaction to the mares around - which was almost none!

Tory almost started thinking he might be ill and was half-checking him, before she realized where his attention was at; Marquise.

The little filly was still in the trailer, ears nervously flicking back and forth. Duke whinnied at his daughter, who returned with a high-pitched neigh and a hesitant step forward towards the plank that would lead her down from the trailer. Another hesitant step with her small hoof and then suddenly she jumped high and forward, nearly tripping as she landed, but correcting it with a few more leaps before standing still next to her sire.

Duke turned his head to nuzzle his daughter for a bit, before sticking his head into the air and neighing loudly at the mares around.

"Huh." Coli's voice sounded from next to the trailer. "Protective daddy Duke... never thought I'd see the day."

Tory had to agree; at GFS the stallion had never spent that much attention to his daughter. But then, at GFS his little filly had never been this hesitant before.

Duke once again fully attentive to all the pretty mares around, it took Coli, James, Joey and Tory all their attention to keep him in line, while also watching out for Marquise, Whisky and Chucky. Marquise was, as usual, quite obedient, but Whisky and Chucky were constantly trying to escape towards the pastures - possibly where Converse was being kept.

Whatever the reason, all people from GFS were happy when the foal jumping began after the show jumping.

Tory nudged Duke in the sides and steered him towards the first 'jump'. She looked to the side and saw Marquise was being obedient as ever as she followed close to Duke's side - occasionally even bumping into Tory's boot.

Duke took the jump in his usual style; jumping higher than necessary. Behind and to the side, Tory could hear a high-pitched whinny and looked to the side in time to see Eaze flying well above the small jump.

"Good girl, Eaze..." Tory praised the filly, who was happily trotting next to her sire as Tory petted the stallion's neck.

Well, what do you think? I have to say I like Marquise (Eaze) and I'm really happy with how Tory's hair came out! Only too bad that half of Duke is covered by Eaze... Anyone interested in me uploading Duke without Marquise in front of him into my scraps?

The poses, btw; took me forever to get right! This angle is REALLY hard! But good practice nonetheless

Anyway, I hope they do well!
