EDIT: I can't believe I nearly forgot! Thank you to all those giving tips about the sketch-lineart to this ([link] / [link] ) It helped loads!

Collie leaned against the fence of the big pasture.

"Hey Zoey." She said, hearing the blonde girl approaching her.

"Hello Collie." The blonde returned. "What are you doing?"

Collie shrugged. "Nothing really. Just looking at the horses."

"How come you've got such a frown on your face then?"

"Ah, it's nothing special... I just realized that I've not given Donny the attention he deserves. I ride him once in a while, and so do you, but he deserves to be shown to the world..."

Zoey climbed atop the fence. "So enter him in a competition..."

"Any ideas which?" Collie asked.

"Hmmm... no not really. BUT - my little brother saw something in a magazine this morning..." Zoey turned on the fence to face the stables. "HEY!! JOEY!"

A few moments passed, but then the stable-hand's blonde head poked out of the stable door with an annoyed expression.

"What?!"

"Can you come over here for a sec? Collie's wanting to know about an event to enter Donny in!"

"Oh!" Joey's face brightened. "Just a sec!"

His face disappeared and for five minutes he didn't appear again. Then he came running out the barn with a magazine in his hand.

"Here." He said, showing Collie a page in the magazine.

'Baroque Winter Solstice.' Collie read. 'At Cheshire Farms...'

"Who will be going?" Madam Koens asked. "We've got tickets for two - of course Collie is going, being the 'boss'."

Collie grimaced. "Please don't call me that."

Madam Koens merely winked at her, before looking around at the others gathered. Everyone looked eager to go. After all, it wasn't every day that GFS staff went to Florida!

Collie looked over at the corner of the room. Joey was always staying in the background, naturally shy...

"I say Joey comes with me." Collie said. "It was his idea to begin with and he's often handled Donny before..."

"Me?" Joey said, wide-eyed.

"You." Collie nodded.

Sorry, long story

So yeah, another GFS member; Zoey's little brother, Joey (yes, I chose their names on purpose )

I'm really quite proud (if not wholly satisfied) with this image! It's the first image where no lineart was used

Soo... what do you think of it?

oh, btw; the trees in the background are supposed to be orange trees (as I understood Cheshire Farms has quite a lot of those).

Ref used: various references off google for pose, colour and shading ideas.

ps; I really had been horribly neglecting Don (among others), which becomes evident if you look at the last image I drew of Don --> [link] (look at own peril) *shudders*
