Description TMNT fans, meet Gabby. Gabby, TMNT fans. It's been a while, hasn't it?

For those who don't recognize her or aren't too familiar with the franchise, this lovely lady here is Gabrielle, Casey's wife. Well, pre-Casey. 2012 version.

Let me back up a little. Gabrielle was in the famous TMNT comics and when she broke away from an abusive relationship while pregnant with her future daughter who will later be known as Shadow Jones, she and Casey fall in love and get married after a failed relationship with April. Gabrielle sadly dies giving birth to Shadow.

and I were talking and both agree Gabby fits Casey better. She pulled him away from all the alcohol and garbage he got himself into that no one else could and decided to bring her back for the 2012 version. We're still sketching out her story, but this is my concept art for her. It'll be very similar to her back story in the comics, but obviously she doesn't die this time around and gets the life she should have had with Casey.

Yayyzzzzz someone else who sees it that way XD! Don't get me wrong I like April but I reallyyyyy think Gabby could had been his one. If given a real chance in the comics, she could had been a great addition to Casey's life.

I agree!! I adored Gabby and I was sad her character was just thrown away. I think TMNT would have had a lot more possibilities if she had been kept, the fandom needs more girl power and I really appreciated her dynamic character.

Makes me wonder why they decided to kill her off. I mean, in the end there wasn't much of a point to her existence other than to step in when April was being a selfish jerk and give Casey a kid. I adore Shadow, but I think keeping Gabby alive would have been so kick ass. Like, seeing her fight along with Casey and just being an epic family. No offense to April in the comics, but Gabby made Casey levelheaded and brought out the best in him.

I'm not really sure myself. I guess the writers were secretly April/Casey shippers. Why else can you explain Casey dreaming about April while he's still married and waiting on his own child.


And I do too, I would had loved that. I think Gabby would had brought him normalcy and calm. He doesn't get that with April, he gets yelling and drama.

No idea, but it wasn't okay. I dunno, it just made the whole Casey/April thing more...assholish to me. Like, Gabby was great. Not dissing on Capril, but the comic was flawed as much as it was awesome.

So true! I really wish maybe they bring back Gabby in the 2012 show, they brought back Irma I'm really hoping Gabby comes back. I would love to see that, I think she would do a lot not just as her own character but also do a lot for Casey's character.

It did to me too. I mean don't get me wrong it was a little obvious that Capril was the OTP of the series. But seriously, who thinks about their ex when you're still married? Would had been more appropriate or foreshadowing if it'd been Gabby. And yeah it was flawed XD.


I would love to see her come back. I think she'd bring a good mixture into the characters. The way I see it maybe all that bonding we saw with Shadow. Maybe that was hinting that Gabby would had gotten along with TMNT too.

It is. And most people don't remember her. And she had a big role in Casey's life for so long until they wrote her out before 2003. Thanks! We think she deserves Casey more. She had this really awful life and met Casey at the diner she worked at in the comics. He rescued her from this awful relationship with a Mafia (if i Β remember correctly) member and decided to start a new life. He sobered up and became the better Casey until she died and he went back to being pretty violent. Not as bad due to wanting to be the perfect role model for his adopted daughter, but still.

Wow. This is why I need to read the comics! I'd never even heard of Gabby until I saw this, and it sounds like she was a great element to the story, especially for Casey. Anyone who can help Casey so much has to be a great character. Seems to me that she deserves a lot more love from TMNT fans.
