Description Here is a meme that I did featuring my Top 10 favorite video game villains of all time, which happens to be a type of meme that I've been wanting to do for quite a while now. Because I wasn't too busy doing anything else at the time, I decided to take the opportunity to work on such a meme before getting around to posting my set of pictures that I'm currently doing as part of my "ABC Fanarts Challenge" project. However, I had a really difficult time trying to find a blank meme image that I could use involving various bad guy characters from my favorite video games that I enjoy, so I decided to create my own meme that I'm willing to share once I get around to posting the blank version for anyone to use afterwards. For this meme I've done, I was able to post images featuring my ten most favorite video game villains listed from left to right and top to bottom, with the character listed as my #1 favorite being featured in the top-left corner and the character listed at #10 being on the bottom-right corner. Just a heads up, though: I might be revealing some spoilers to those who haven't played any of the games these characters are from, so please hold off on reading the description if you don't want to be spoiled in any way. Thank you, and enjoy!

MY TOP 10 FAVORITE VIDEO GAME VILLAINS

#10 - Emperor Andross ("Star Fox" series) - Once considered the greatest scientist on the planet Corneria, Andross was banished to the planet Venom due to him working on experiments that were deemed inhumane; And so, he decides to wage war against the Cornerian forces while trying to take control of the Lylat system, but his attempts are often foiled thanks to the heroic efforts of Fox McCloud and the Star Fox team. Aside from him being a villainous ape who wants to rule the entire galaxy, Andross is able to make it on my list due to him being a villain that is able to find a way to take over the Lylat system, even after being killed off during the events of "Star Fox 64", to which he turned out to be the real bad guy that was pulling the strings behind the events of "Star Fox Adventures" such as encasing Krystal in a giant crystal shard not too long at the beginning of the game; Not only that, but he also happens to be the one who doomed Fox's father, James McCloud, which helped motivate his son to become the leader of Star Fox. Even though there haven't been any new games in the series for quite a while other than "Star Fox Zero" (which itself is a reboot of the series just like with "Star Fox 64"), Andross is still a very memorable villain that Star Fox fans are able to recognize, especially since his polygonal human face form from the original SNES game even appears as an Assist Trophy in the "Super Smash Bros." series, which happens to be one of my favorites to find as well.

#9 - Ganon AKA Ganondorf ("The Legend Of Zelda" series) - Sometimes referred to as The King Of Darkness, Ganondorf is a Gerudo thief skilled in magic who tries to take over the land of Hyrule by using the pieces of the Triforce, but he is often defeated by Link and Princess Zelda. Using the Triforce of Power, Ganondorf is able to wreak havoc while trying to take over the kingdom, but as a kind of punishment from the gods for stealing it for his own evil purposes, he is transformed into a monstrous pig-like creature while going by the name Ganon, which also happens to be the form he usually takes on during his final battles with Link. Ganondorf is very unique for a villain because it wasn't until "The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time" in which were actually able to see him in his original form, since all the other games released before it had him depicted as Ganon. And despite him taking control of the Triforce, Link is often able to defeat him with a bit of help from Zelda, to which he's able to do so by using the Master Sword and some Light Arrows (or Silver Arrows, depending on the game). Nevertheless, Ganon is one of the most memorable villains from "The Legend Of Zelda", and he's even able to appear as a playable character in the "Super Smash Bros." series while also being an echo fighter of Captain Falcon.

#8 - Sigma ("Mega Man X" series) - Originally designed by Dr. Cain to be the perfect robot, Sigma is a reploid who ended up going mad with power and has decided to wage war against the humans on Earth in the year 21XX while declaring robots to be the superior race. And so, it is up to Mega Man X and fellow Maverick hunter Zero to constantly put an end to Sigma's efforts for world domination. Even after being destroyed numerous times, Sigma always finds some way to come back to life, usually in the form of a living virus, and he continues trying to rule the world while causing trouble for the Maverick hunters in the process. What makes Sigma such a memorable villain is due to him always being the one who is causing all the trouble in every game in the series such as in the events of "Mega Man X4", to which he is responsible for causing the Repliforce to rebel against the human race. However, it was actually revealed that Sigma wasn't originally evil until his encounter with Zero in the past, to which Zero was violent and hostile until Sigma shattered the crystal on his helmet, releasing the virus that would turn Sigma into his villainous self afterwards. Even though there hasn't been a new game in the series after "Mega Man X8", Sigma remains the most memorable villain of the series, especially when he's able to team up with the Marvel Comics villain, Ultron, during the events of "Marvel Vs. Capcom: Infinite", to which they would become a powerful entity known as Ultron-Sigma.

#7 - King K. Rool ("Donkey Kong Country" series) - Easily identified as the leader of the Kremlings, King K. Rool is the commander of a gang of villainous crocodiles who try to cause trouble for Donkey Kong and his friends, usually by trying to steal all the bananas from DK's banana hoard and taking them back to their home island of Crocodile Isle. Even after being defeated multiple times, K. Rool is able to get his revenge in some way such as kidnapping DK or any other members of the Kong family for ransom, and he even tried to blow up DK's home island using a powerful laser machine known as the Blast-O-Matic during the events of "Donkey Kong 64". Even though he is usually depicted as a king, K. Rool is also known for leading the Kremlings while sporting a different personality in some games such as a pirate captain (Kaptain K. Rool) and even a mad scientist (Baron K. Roolenstein), which is what makes him so unique for a bad guy in the series, and he also managed to become a playable character in "Super Smash Bros. Ultimate" as well.

#6 - Lord Brevon ("Freedom Planet") - A villain that has doomed multiple civilizations across the galaxy, Lord Brevon is an evil alien warlord who is able to crash-land his vessel on the planet of Avalice during his pursuit by an alien being known as Torque. Upon arriving on Avalice, Brevon takes control of the kingdom of Shuigang by brainwashing Prince Dail after murdering his father in front of him...and that's just the beginning of the plot, as Brevon plans to steal a magical relic known as the Kingdom Stone to use its unlimited power to build an unstoppable army. These chain of events end up attracting Sash Lilac and her friends Carol Tea and Milla Basset, who team up with Torque to stop Brevon from wreaking havoc on their home planet. Considering the fact that he is actually one of the newer bad guy characters to debut in recent years, Lord Brevon is definitely worthy of mention due to his villainous personality as well as some the evil things that he does throughout the game's story such as causing a civil war between the three kingdoms of Avalice and torturing Lilac by nearly electrocuting her to death, but possibly the most despicable thing he does that took the cake for me was transforming cute little Milla into an alien monster and forcing her to fight Lilac and Carol. Other than that, Lord Brevon instantly became one of my top favorite villains after being able to play "Freedom Planet" from beginning to end, and I wouldn't be surprised if he was to make a return in the upcoming sequel, as it's revealed that he more than likely survived after the events of the original game.

#5 - Shao Kahn ("Mortal Kombat" series) - "You will never win!" These are the taunting words of Shao Kahn, who is the evil ruler of Outworld, and he would often try to take over the Earth Realm by holding the Mortal Kombat fighting tournaments in order to gain control of both worlds. However, his efforts to do so are often foiled by the heroes of Earth Realm that include Lui Kang, Rayden, Johnny Cage, and Sonya Blade (to name a few), and he has even resorted to taking over the Earth Realm in different ways such as absorbing all the souls on the planet and sending an army of Outworld mutants to wreak havoc in the process. Even though Shang Tsung was the primary bad guy in the original game in the series, he turned out to be a minion of Shao Kahn, who was the true villain behind the plan for world domination, and Shao Kahn is quite memorable as the final boss of "Mortal Kombat II" due to his powerful attacks and tendency to laugh and taunt at his opponents while fighting them. Even though there have been other villains to replace Shao Kahn in recent games such as Shinnok and Blaze, he remains one of the best fighting game villains due to his intimidating appearance and wicked personality that he is known for (though I wish I could say the same thing about how he was portrayed in the live-action movie "Mortal Kombat: Annihilation", but that's a different story for another day).

#4 - Master Bison ("Street Fighter" series) - Known simply as "M. Bison" for short, Master Bison is the evil dictator of Shadaloo, a criminal organization that is able to hold the annual World Warrior tournaments as a way of searching for strong fighters worthy of challenging Bison so that he can use their power to help him take over the world. Even though he did not make his appearance in the very first game in the series, Bison was able to appear as the final boss opponent in "Street Fighter II: The World Warrior", to which he had a unique fighting style that involves a soul-based power known as Psycho Crush, and the events of the "Street Fighter Alpha" trilogy that were able to take place between the first and second games in the series showed Bison to be quite strong when unleashing his true power. Surprisingly, Bison has actually been killed multiple times in the games such as him being finished off by Akuma during the events of "Super Street Fighter II Turbo", but he's able to come back to life by creating clone bodies for his soul to be transferred into in case he perishes in some way. One thing to note about him is that in Japan, he actually goes by the name of Vega, primarily due to M. Bison being the name of the heavyweight boxer who would be renamed as Balrog in the US, and that name also happens to be the original name of the masked Spanish fighter who would be renamed as Vega. Even so, Master Bison is still one of the best-known villain characters in the "Street Fighter" series, and he also happens to be one of my favorite characters to play as in the games that he appears in. Speaking of which, he was also portrayed so wonderfully by the late, great Raul Julia from the 1994 "Street Fighter" live-action movie, which I'm still able to enjoy watching every now and then.

#3 - Bowser ("Super Mario" series) - The villainous king of the Koopas that has tried to take over the Mushroom Kingdom and kidnapped Princess Peach multiple times, but he is constantly defeated by Mario and Luigi, who are best known as the Super Mario Bros. No matter how many times he is defeated in the past, however, Bowser always finds some way to continue wreaking havoc on the Mushroom Kingdom, especially when he has an army of minions that include Goombas, Koopa Troopas, Hammer Bros, etc. to help him do his dirty work, and he's even assisted by his own children that always help him out: Bowser Jr. and the Koopalings (Larry Koopa, Roy Koopa, Wendy O. Koopa, Iggy Koopa, Morton Koopa Jr., Lemmy Koopa, and Ludwig Von Koopa). When fighting Mario on his own, he's usually able to do so by relying on his muscular strength and flammable breath, but sometimes even these aren't enough to defeat the mustachioed plumber hero, and he's even able to resort to magic that is often provided to him by Kamek The Magikoopa, who actually assisted Bowser when he was younger during the events of "Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island". Nevertheless, Bowser has always been a reoccurring foe for Mario and his friends to take on, and there have also been some rare times in which Bowser was forced to side with his archenemy in order take on greater threats that are much worse than him.

#2 - Dr. Albert Wily ("Classic Mega Man" series) - Once the assistant and partner of brilliant robot scientist Dr. Thomas Xavier Light, Dr. Albert Wily decided to use some of the robot creations that they had worked on together to take over the world, which he decided to do so out of jealously towards Dr. Light, and he was able to steal six of the eight robots that he would reprogram to help him wreak havoc on the world. This resulted in Dr. Light reworking his robot known as Rock to into the fighting machine known as Mega Man, who would be able to constantly defeat Dr. Wily and put an end to his attempts at world domination for the first of many times. Even when it looks as if Dr. Wily had reformed, he's always back to his villainous ways in no time by building stronger robots for the Blue Bomber to battle such as his strongest creation known as Bass, or even reprogramming robots created by others to help him continue his conquest of the world. One of the most notable things about Dr. Wily is the fact that he always turns out to be the main villain in every game in the series, even when it appears to be someone else's doing at first such as tricking a Russian robot scientist named Dr. Cossack into thinking that Mega Man had kidnapped his daughter ("Mega Man 4"), building a robot to pose as Protoman while framing him for a series of crimes ("Mega Man 5"), and even posing as a mysterious robot scientist known as Mr. X while holding a robot-building contest that is open to the public ("Mega Man 6"); Not only that, but Dr. Wily also happens to be creator of Zero in the "Mega Man X" series, who was designed to be a weapon that would help take over the world while he's gone, but he ended up becoming one of the strongest warriors that protects the planet from the forces of Sigma. Even so, Dr. Wily remains one of the most recognizable villains due to his persistence no matter how often he's defeated, and even when there's a new game in the series that features a different bad guy, then chances are you know who it really is.

#1 - Dr. Ivo Robotnik AKA Dr. Eggman ("Sonic The Hedgehog" series) - A brilliant scientist with an IQ of over 300, Dr. Ivo Robotnik (or Dr. Eggman, which is what he's called nowadays) is able to build all kinds of robots that are capable of helping him take over the world so that he can create an empire to his liking, but he is constantly being defeated by Sonic The Hedgehog and his friends, which makes it rather difficult for him to achieve his goal for world domination. What makes Dr. Eggman's robot creations so unique is due to the fact that they are usually powered by the small animals that he often captures, which are then placed inside the robots to use as a source of power, and Sonic is able to free the animals by destroying the robots themselves. Besides just turning helpless animals into robot slaves, Dr. Eggman is even capable of building larger robots that he is able to control while also outfitting his Egg Mobile with various weapons to fight the Blue Blur. Even when he does manage to succeed in taking over the world, however, something tends to go awry, forcing Dr. Eggman to team up with Sonic in order to prevent the world that he wants to conquer from being destroyed in some way as seen in the events of "Sonic Adventure 2" and "Sonic Heroes". Compared to Dr. Wily, though, Dr. Eggman has been shown to be even more persistent when it comes to taking over the world, since he would still try to conquer the planet for himself while it is being attacked by a race of evil alien creatures hellbent on destroying the world during the events of "Shadow The Hedgehog". Other than that, Dr. Eggman is probably my most favorite video game villain of all time due to his personality and style that he is known for, and I especially loved how he is portrayed by Jim Carrey in the more recent "Sonic The Hedgehog" live-action movie as well.
