what is the story behind this series of images? Have you documented it somewhere?
They are executed skillfully and the subdued palette with the touches of bright, almost primary colour, is lovely. Did you make all three at the same time, or work on them one at a time? Your consistent technique across all three is masterful.

You see these kind of compositions in paintings from the 15th and 16th century.
It's got this mysterious/magical feeling to it.

Reminds me of Caravaggio. Chiaroscuro, quiet and romanticized faces, but powerful imagery, even the compositions. Except, Caravaggio had the figures in his paintings acting more dramatically, as opposed to just standing here. Here, i do get a since of pieta even though characters are not the same.
Very classic. Love the use of light, and I wish there was more commentary about the storyline of the photograph. Retouching looks good. I am curious to see it up close, but far away, it looks good. The male looks edited very perfectly, almost innocently. I fear for his life, haha.

oh... it was my first dark fashion shooting with Ksenia Popova in Kiev... it was her idea.
we plan to move to Kiev and shoot more in april.
