The Hive is full of bright lights and buzzing sounds...and corridors...endless corridors. And corners, and rooms and shops and markets...with no signs that either Penny or Zinya could decipher. But...they are safe enough (for now at least) so they tr one more corridor...maybe its this way?

Penny could have asked Nine any number of questions about the science and technology here but her mind drifted elsewhere. Whether it was the longing for deep water or the recent events in Tonpelli...she was feeling homesick for a home that didn't really exist any more. And after the massive argument with Luther...she wondered if she was also sickening for a future that was now out of reach...

Knowing that Nine had been a 'water seeker' in their former life, Penny has a strangely sentimental and fuzzy sort of question...

"...so you could sense and find water...did you...ever just *enjoy* water..." she asks, feeling a little silly but it dawns on her that water might be seen as such an essential thing here. In her experience, water was abundant. "...sorry if that sounds so vague...I just wonder what it might be like to have that 'sense' for water, and whether you felt more connected to it that way... She idly muses about what it might feel like. Was it a tingle? A smell? Just a sensation?
