Description Yepp yepp, I downloaded and installed the Release Candidate (RC) of Windows 7, the newest operating system of Microsoft.

This is a screenshot of it The wallpaper was delivered in a theme pack I downloaded (it's called "nature" ).

I must say:
Compared to XP or Vista, Windows 7 seems to be veery stable, it is fast (I'm amazed ) and it's easy to handle, in my opinion. Also it has some very gread details which enhance the controlling of the OS in daily use

And the best:

It's all free!!!
You can download, install and use the RC version (better than the beta version!) FREE OF CHARGE and you can use it without limitations until March 2010. The only thing is that there might be some "little" errors like in my (germany) version sometimes a window pops up and the language is ENGLISH
But hey, it's a pre-release version

Go check it out guys, it's worth it

I would said that Window 7 simplify everything. Even a monkey could handle the pc

The system performance is much better, the visual look imo, it's running very stable... lot of better things there.

well i mostly use xp as i hate vista more than i hated george bush so maybe i didint have enough time to experiment with 7 yet and with vista. but to be honest vista is so bloated that i dont plan on running it as a main os any time soon. think of 7 the same way for now.

I have Windows XP Pro on my laptop and on my computer I have Windows XP Home and Windows 7 RC. Both are great. But Windows 7 is even a bit faster than XP
Windows 7 really has almost nothing in common with the bad side of Vista. Trust me. Everybody's telling Windows 7 is going to be sooo great. NEVER heard any bad things about it yet.

Ya. I just cant allocate that much time to run a os that will expire. Maybe when the full version is out and i get a copy that will not just stop working then i can give it some quality testing time. I dont like to change oses too often and when i had vista on i was not happy. So i guess i will have to wait some more.

Wait for Windows 7, install it as a second OS on your computer (dual OS). Just have to create a new partition for Windows 7.
Then you can compare

i don't like to play with dual os on same drive even if on different partition UNLESS i use partition magic with boot magic where i can hide partitions. BUT, anytime there is a boot utility loaded it could be problems in the future with os reinstall or some updates so its dangerous. i prefer a separate drive for it and just change the boot order in bios. its a lot safer that way. sometimes i just run one drive without other drives power connected or if im lazy i force windows to not see it by deleting the drive letter for it to minimize the boot os from writing anything to the non boot drive (the other os). but i would like to give 7 a extended test drive .

You're doing it really complicated

You just have a new partition or on its own harddisk, but you don't have to deactivate a drive or delete any drive letters or something like that

You just install the both OS and then you can choose the OS at boot-up.
That's all. And there's absolutely no danger for the OS. Except you don't install it properly, or are not familiar with the Partition Magic or what you use.

I been dealing with windows long enough to experience plenty of conflicts and i dont want any more problems. If you havent seen any then you havent done enough of this i guess.

That's foolish!
I tested Windows 7 all around!
I'm very familiar with computers and computer systems....

its not foolish. its being safe and eliminating the possibility of problems. I do things the careful way and you can do it how you feel comfortable.
