I came across this about a year ago before I had a DA account, and I'd nearly forgotten it. So now I must favorite it.
I love how, despite that it's a winter setting, there's something very warm in the coloring and details. My favorite parts would definitely have to be the sparkles trailing from the book and the back lighting on her hair.

It's perfect! She's pretty, its winterAND she has a book! Wow, the girl you painted is like everything i wish to be. Where I live, we have gotten no snow. We got like 2 inches in november of 2004. I'm usually a fan of blood and macrebe, but i think everyone has a weakness for beauty

I've never read about Isfolket myself, but this is absolutely something I could imagine from those books (btw, are they recommended? Are they good?) I absolutely love how you painted the girl, and the rest of it is wonderful too. Really an excellent use of colour. Well done!
