Um... wow! Has it really been 3 years since my last post!??

Dura seems to be showing her impatience at my posting schedule, or, maybe she is just visually demonstrating her dismissal of the Ottawa Valley's weather patterns for the last 2 years...

I have to admit, the time just flew since my last post here. And honestly, it feels great to be sketching again! I wanted to do something different then my usual full-body stuff so I looked over my old sketches and realized I never really committed to a detailed headshot before! And so, with some pencils and motivation, I got to work!

I started this in the Summer but after a revision I decided to try my hand at shading as well! I also wanted to try my hand at doing rain/wet effects but it didn't turn out like I wanted despite some initial practice. So, knocking it down a peg to a headshot/sketch, I decided to just finish it. And to be honest, I think I nailed it!

If only my scanner was on the same page! It took a bit of legwork to get my 13 year old PSC 1610 scanner proved to be finicky. I probably should have gotten the bastard going WAY back just to see if it still worked alongside my current hardware as I've traded a lot of pieces over the last 3 years since I last turned it on ^.^'

Regardless, it still does the job, I didn't even need to do a lot of extra cleanup compared to my prior sketches! I also hope this kicks my ass in gear to finally start sketching again on a regular basis!
