Description Isle of Skye, Scotland

The third part of one of the many unknown falls on the Isle of Skye. The conditions on the first two days of the trip were ideal for shooting waterfalls, and as you may have gathered by now, I have a real soft spot for them.
As you get closer, and closer to them, you hear the amazing rushing noise of the water. Nothing can quite compare to it, it's brilliant!

I manually blended two different exposures in Photoshop CS4 after RAW processing the shots.

Thanks to everyone who takes the time to view, comment, and add to their

While the shot is quite in balance, the flow isn't. The creek leads the eye out the image while the big prevents it from going back inside the image. Just a little nit-picking from me. The details are lovely, though you might cut back on sharpening just a little.

I guess I like "quite" quite a lot ...

No, I was asking what do you "quite" about what you said.. you just said "while the shot is quite in balance", doesn't make sense.

I'm not the best at English. Which "quite" I meant that the shot is very well balanced, but the flow of the shot could be better.

Thank you mate, I just uploaded a similar shot to this, but with a b&w conversion. I much prefer it I have to say.

What a lovely waterfall. I think you could have composed this better though. Personally it seems a bit messy on the left, the main thing you want here is the waterfall and the direction of flow through the frame which isn't exactly happening. Panning to the right a bit would be the go, getting rid of the mess on the left and positioning the waterfall in the left upper third of the frame, then having the stream flowing down and out the right bottom corner. Although I haven't seen these falls in the flesh so I don't know what distractions are to the right. Anyway the exposure is perfect, maybe some better light would also improve this bad boy

I have another shot of this, composed slightly differently to what you are suggesting. I prefered the use of the boulder as an anchored foreground subject though, to me it's more important and adds more to the composition than the other shot of the falls slightly better placed. I will send you the other shot over msn to see what you think though composition wise.
Yeah, I'm happy with the exposure blend I have done on this to create as best light from the weather conditions as possible.

Thanks for the comments Drew.
