Description
This is a slight departure in style. Inspired by Portrait of a Young Woman by Antonio del Pollaiuolo [link]I was going to call it "The forgotten dreams of Don Quixote and Darwin" but was saved from pretentious nonsense thanks to a limited title length

Thank you very much for the fav. This is drawn entirely in photoshop. I always liked the portrait that inspired it and was just messing about scribbling on my tablet. - Then everything just seemed to click into place and I completed the picture in one sitting. It remains one of my personal favs

This beauty invites many re-engagements. I keep seeing more here. I'm particularly appreciative of the looseness of your technique. I always wanted to be loose like that. It's so rich and appears to be so liberating, but in spite of much practicing, I have never really managed to get there. I love the "pretentious" title by the way.
Sometimes in my life, when I'm struggling with some person, I feel a bit like Don Quixote up against a windmill.
