Description This is a slight departure in style. Inspired by Portrait of a Young Woman by Antonio del Pollaiuolo [link]
I was going to call it "The forgotten dreams of Don Quixote and Darwin" but was saved from pretentious nonsense thanks to a limited title length

Thank you very much for the fav. This is drawn entirely in photoshop. I always liked the portrait that inspired it and was just messing about scribbling on my tablet. - Then everything just seemed to click into place and I completed the picture in one sitting. It remains one of my personal favs

This beauty invites many re-engagements. I keep seeing more here. I'm particularly appreciative of the looseness of your technique. I always wanted to be loose like that. It's so rich and appears to be so liberating, but in spite of much practicing, I have never really managed to get there. I love the "pretentious" title by the way.

Sometimes in my life, when I'm struggling with some person, I feel a bit like Don Quixote up against a windmill.

Thank you for the thoughtful and encouraging comments, ironcally I am trying to develop a more finished style striving towards the detail and attention I admired in your own work, but I am between stylistic worlds at the moment. I am watching with interest your own venture into the world of three dimension, perhaps this could be the third way.

Yet another gorgeous piece of art from you. You should maybe considering making them available as prints :-D
