Description
For the Shinlai Art Trade!I'm so sorry, I'm late. The due date was November 30th, but with school works, I didn't manage to finish it in time.
Anyways! I was assigned is for *Saphirawolf 's shinlai, Twi.
I quickly read the character's story and wanted to express her sad story. I can imagine that, at that moment, she has just lost her sister.
I'm so sorry, Saphira, for the delay and the rushed result. I really apology! I hope you like it anyway. C': If I get some free time, I'll probably make some adjustements here and there. Especially on the background. >.>
I know there are flaws, but I'd like some critiques anyway.

Le personnage s'intègre parfaitement au décor, la fourrure est parfaitement reproduite, la texture du bois aussi jusqu'à l'eau vaseuse, les fumerolles, et le brouillard au second plan ! Continue à faire des décor parce que c'est vraiment super !

The fur texture is simply spectacular. And the minute details, like the moss on the log, the whorling mist... just... outstanding.

Wow, that's some really nice fur you've got done, there! I think that the image probably really only suffers where your background and foreground become smudge-blurred to the point that they're obviously smudge-blurred. I'd look up reference for rain on water and emulate that for the foreground, then I'd probably go and darken the background quite significantly so that your character pops forward in the image. Otherwise, it's a nice composition!

I love the composition! It's so beautiful, your palette and anatomy is wonderful, it looks like you could reach out and wiggle your fingers into her fur. Further to that I love your attention to nature and how the rain is curling as mist on top of the swamp - very realistic and adds an important flair of life
My minor gripe regarding the mist swirling off the water. It looks like you used the smudge tool, which ruins some of the magic for me. I would have preferred to see a rendered mist, or something with a custom brush, rather than the smudge tool. You can see the time and expertise that went into rendering Twi, so it does make me feel like you rushed the mist a little.
It's kind of minor but equally important as it's like a beautifully tuned piano with one off key! Hope you find that judgement fair

I totally agree with you, because this is what happened. X) I indeed used the smudge tool and rushed the mist a bit. If I work again on that picture, I'll search for some good mist references and try to render it by myself.
