So today, as I was shopping, my mom suddenly calls and says her friend gave her 2 tickets to the premiere of SUPER 8 at 6:30. From the trailers it looked like a dud so I was pretty indifferent. But I went anyway, and I enjoyed it.The movie was like dining at a Spielberg buffet, getting hints and flavors of Jurassic Park, E.T., War of the Worlds, etc. I felt comfortably full in the end, like I do at the end of all Spielberg moviesβlike Iβve just digested a full course of a movie.
Anyway, the kids made the movie. Everyone knows by now how much of a sucker I am for the innocent-but-brave boy role. JOEL COURTNEY IS SO CUTE! I WAS JUST A SWOONING PUDDLE IN MY SEAT.
Yeah, anyway, since I did get free tickets, the least I can do is promote it with some fan art. Enjoy the little people!

I just watched this and oh I love those kids <3 As you said, and as others in these comments have said, they made the movie. Love their personalities and their conversations 
Oh yeah, and Joe of course. Since I, too, am a sucker for that kind of role. And because Joel Courtney was perfect for it and so dffdjfdshdjsd cute. Whenever he was sad or scared or... err, happy? I just sat there wanting to give him a hug.
