Description
I've not had a chance to draw either of my Strudel babu's yet! I wanted to remedy this, even if it's just with a quick colored sketch.
I'm still mostly happy with how this turned out.
I still am super happy I got this precious baby from meekakun because Takoyaki is actually one of my favorite things to eat and she's such a cute fluffy ball of octofluff ♥
Yes her name reference is quite obvious, especially once you realize her theme is Takoyaki (literally octopus in a little doughy ball which is also frackin delish)

Marina is an absolute sweetheart.
She is known to be a bit of a cling on with those she becomes friends with, loving hugs and the company of others.
She's also very known to get super excited about little things that may sometimes make no sense to others, but she finds most things exciting anyway.
An energetic ball of softness that simply adores life and all it holds.
She's commonly curious about new things and will try something new at the drop of a hat, adores new experiences, even if they don't end well in the end.
Her Plushy - His name is Jubs, also commonly referred to as "JubJub" by Marina.
If he ends up damaged or torn she will literally cry right on the spot, he is her absolute favorite thing in the world and she isn't often seen without the stuffed octopus at her side.
Mind you, she can be sensitive in general and randomly tear up if someone's teasing her or being even a small bit rude toward her, but she tends to brush it off super quick once she has Jubs or her friends back in her arms again.
Just know; She absolutely believes in you, no matter how mean or amazing you might be ♥
--------------------------------------------------------------------
I think my girl needs some friends, mayyybe potential partner?
Now that I've drawn her I'd love to explore possibilities for art interactions with other Strudels.

Crumble would love to be her friend!! (if you don't mind me linking! if so, I'll certainly remove it!)
BISCUIT BOY
Crumble doesn't have a mean bone in his body, and is all for hugs and reassurance

HE LOOKS LIKE A LITTLE PUUUPPYYYYYY ♥
I think she'd adore being friends with him! Especially if he's all for her clingy/huggy personality x'D
And yes I have! A place near my home makes it among other Japanese meals. Takoyaki quickly became my favorite.
I'm not sure how to explain it in words really, to me it kind of had a sweetness to it, and the inside was so soft until you get to the piece of octo x'D Then you have a tiny bit of chewyness but it's so good after barreling through the sweet outter layer.
I think the reason I found it sweet is because of the sauce mine had on it, and it was thicker than most I see online so it might have been just how this resturaunt made it, I dunno
Either way its delicious and I wanna go back for another plate.
Like, I even took a pick of it the first time I ate it with my mom, don't mind my old account it's dead x'D But yeh

oof reading that made me so hungry lol. I have a few japanese restaurants around where I live too, man, I really should go to a few of them (I've actually gone to one, but I only had sushi, and sakura mochi icecream ;w; )
Yay! I'd love to draw them hanging out together and stuff when my to-do list clears up, Marina sounds like such a sweetheart ;w;

Mochi is sooo good!! I personally love green tea mochi the most ;o;
it's kidna squishy, I don't recommend eating it all in one bite lol, because the flour on it will dry out your mouth, and then the mochi does a good job of mushing up everything else, it's worse than peanut butter in that aspect! Which is also why I recommend having mochi filled with stuff, like icecream, or red bean
Most mochi is sweet, but the one consistent thing is that faint rice flavor. It's not overbearing or anything, but it is a great neutral aftertaste that I've always found enjoyable :3

I heard their textures are almost similar to chewy bouncy marshmallows or something x'D
But I mean
I've tried a few random treats, Takoyaki, Unagi, Konpeito, red bean buns, Udon, I've even had moon cakes thanks to a chinese exchange student back in school
I want to try so much more options, I've loved everything so far
I know the local market here has boxed mochi but I bet it tastes way better from a resturaunt or food place rather than from a box on a shelf in a market xD

lol oh gosh, that's exactly what it's like, I could have used far less words xD thank you!
I've had red bean buns, but none of the rest ;~; I've had a lot of japanese candy, but I don't remember the names, lets see. I've had these mushrooms with a chocolate cap, and a bread stalk. This chewy peach candy where you can eat the wrapper. incredibly adorable cracker bears filled with strawberry cream, pocky (of course lol), these long shrimp chip things that are spicy and delicious, aand that's all I can think of at the moment lol.
I wish I could remember the names lol, I googled them and nothing came up unfortunately ;w;

Pocky I've had!
Also the panda's are called Hello Panda's :> I love those, all the flavors are good actually not just strawberry!
The chocolate mushroom shaped biscuits are good too but I prefer hello panda's over those, much tastier~

I agree, the pandas are much tastier! (Though I am a bit bias as I prefer strawberry over chocolate milk lol)
Oh! And the peach candy with the edible wrapper is called Botan rice candy! I highly recommend it, it's probably my favorite Japanese candy ;w;

I think I've had the rice candy :'u
Also you know there's a milk flavored hello panda too? x'D Just milk
I guess it's like their version of vanilla or something haha

Lol oh really? That's crazy, I'm used to the default flavor being vanilla, I wonder if it tastes like just sweetened milk, now I have to try that too lol
