Evening in Station Square as the city was bustling with people heading home from work.In the underground labs of the Station Square Patrollers, Lilian was talking with Amy, Cream, Rouge, and Cheese about their achievements and things yet to come.
Lilian: For a past few months you girls have done an acceptable job in keeping the Pink Craze away from harming the city. However, things are still getting ancy. Tails provided an update on our situation on the Craze lurking around the city. Apparently it can hide it’s hallucinating power data from our radars, preventing us to locate it.
Amy: It can do that??
Cream: Is that why our watches were acting funny before?
Lilian: Precisely. And when Tails decoded the scrambled data of the craze it was able to pick it up again. But it’s still trying to hide itself… As if it’s self-aware…
Amy: You don’t think it’s… alive, do you?
Lilian: I don’t know… But for the time being, we’ll have to up our game, ladies. We have to train harder to fight back against the Craze. When Tails decodes more of the garbage data, we’ll be able to track more of it. And maybe locate the source of where it’s coming from.
The girls: … … …
Lilian: Now before you girls are dismissed… (She walks over to her computer) I should show you what I’ve been working on for a while now.
She inputs some commands on the keyboard. When she hit one last key, the side wall near the girls opens up to reveal some futuristic gun-like weapons.
Rouge: (Impressed) Wow. Impressive.
Lilian: These stun-guns can be used to halt your enemies on the spot. I mostly used taser technology to make them work. They’re only supposed to be used to hold someone in their tracks till you can arrest them. And furthermore…
Rouge felt like she should take one of the guns off the wall until… Lilian presses a key on her computer which closed the wall.
Lilian: They’re still in their prototype state which makes them unstable at the moment.
Rouge: What’s the point in showing them off if we can’t use them yet?
Lilian: To let you know they’re unstable. If you found them without knowing, you would’ve caused me more worktime. These things are extremely dangerous if you don’t handle them with care. Plus, they can easily break if you’re not careful.
Rouge: Why can’t we just test them out first?
Lilian: You wanna get yourself shocked and electrified?
Rouge: Hmph.
Lilian: Alright then, ladies. You’re dismissed for the night. We have extra drills tomorrow morning so no slacking off. Understand?
The girls: (They salute) Yes, ma’am.
Cheese: Chao chao!
Lilian: Alright then, have a good night, ladies.
The girls: Good night, Ms. Lilian.
Outside back in the city, the night was slowly drawing near. Amy and the rest were walking along the sidewalk while the city remained bustling and busy as before.
Rouge: Imagine if I could get my hands on one of those things. Slowing down Knuckles would be a luxury to me.
Cream: I don’t feel comfortable using those weapons.
Rouge: Then let me have a go at ‘em.
Amy: You just like to shoot things don’t you?
Rouge: (Sarcasticly) I have NOO idea what you’re talking about.
Amy: … … … Do you think we’re getting closer to finding the Pink Craze?
Cream: I don’t know.
Cheese: Chao…
Rouge: You got me.
Amy: I just have a feeling that we’re going around in circles. Lilian said that there’s some source making the Craze spread like wildfire. Even if we do find it, we may not know who created it, and why.
Rouge: I’m sure something will turn up. What I wanna know is how did Dr. Eggman get a hold of it first? And how did it all disappear when Blake kicked it out the window?
Cream: Maybe it… really IS alive?
Amy: We won’t know for sure unless we keep digging.
Rouge: (She stops walking and yawns…) I dunno about you kids but I’m exhausted. I’ll catch you on the drill run tomorrow. (She walks away.)
Amy: Come on, Cream. I’ll walk you home. You must be feeling tired too.
Cream: (Yawns with Cheese…) I guess so.
The three of them leave as well…
Just then, two trashcans that were nearby rattled and shook. Two robotic-like dimwits pop out of each. They both topple over with trash on the ground. It was Orbot and Cubot!
Orbot: (Gets up and rubs his head in pain…) Why is it that the boss has to send us on missions like this?
Cubot: (Gets up and twists his head to face forward.) He said we hafta look for Metal Sonic! He could be anywhere in this city!
Orbot: If I recall, the last we saw of Metal was when Honey shot at him. Afterwards, Eggman lost something far vital to his scheme.
Cubot: What was it?
Orbot: I can’t remember for sure, but he won’t be happy with us if we come back empty-handed.
Cubot: He’s NEVER happy even when we’re NOT empty-handed.
Orbot: Agreed. Either way, he needs him back for his latest scheme to get back at Sonic.
Cubot: Lead the way, Orbot! (He zooms off, making Orbot spin around!)
Orbot: (He stops spinning.) … … … (He hovers to follow Cubot.) R-right behind you, buddy!
Nighttime arrives. At Amy’s house…
She was sitting on her bed in her bedroom punching in some codes on a black box with a keypad. She recovered this box not too long ago after fighting Eggman with Sonic.
Amy: (Getting frustrated) Mff… Why can’t I open this stupid box?? I just wanna see what’s inside of it! (She inputs another code and it resets again.) AAUGH!! (She flops on her bed.) This is so frustrating! I’ve been at this for weeks and I can’t figure out what the code is!
She takes out a pink notebook with a bunch of random codes scratched off… She takes a pen and scratches out a few failed codes…
Amy: Well… Only about three-hundred and sixty-five more random codes to choose from. (Inputs another code…) Ten… Two… Ninety-four… (It resets…) Grr! (She tries again…) Eight… Three… Mmm… Um… Fourteen? (It resets again…)
She sighs, full of exhaustion…
Amy: I give up… I know this box has a means of something, but I just can’t figure out what. … More importantly, where DID this box come from? … … … (She puts the box under her bed.)
Later, she was taking a shower with the hot water spewing steam while a small waterproof radio hanging on the shower bars near her was playing some music. It then started to broadcast a news report after the song was over.
Male reporter: (On radio) Citizens of Station Square have reported sightings of a strange metal-like figure roaming the city streets late in the afternoon. (Amy seemed surprised by that.) Bystanders in the scene claim that it appears to be the form of a hedgehog.
Amy: ???
Male reporter: (On radio) Upon closer examination from security cameras, assumptions lead forward to what appears to be a robotic hedgehog dubbed Metal Sonic created and programmed by the nefarious Dr. Eggman. Police are now patrolling the areas in search of this robot. When interrogated however, it fled the scene and was not seen by city eyes.
Amy: Metal? What’s he doing in Station Square?
Male reporter: (On radio) Despite not showing any signs of attack, police still issue people to stay clear from the Metal Sonic figure that may still be roaming parts of the city. In recent news, science is now seeing it’s golden age with Station Square welcoming a new scientist going by the name of Kane Miaozuki who claims that he wishes to make purity happen in our world. However, he refuses to accept any interviews as of this time. We now return you back to sixty-four point nine Jay-Popper FM. (The music returns but… Amy seems a bit concerned about Metal Sonic…)
Later that night, Amy was in bed sound asleep…
Something that sounded like clanging was coming from outside.
Amy: (Tossing and turning in her sleep…) Mmf… Mm…
The sound grows louder which wakes Amy up…
Amy: Mmm! (Sits up in her bed.) Where’s that noise coming from?! (She gets up from bed and puts her house shoes on.)
She walks down the stairs, turning on the light.
Amy: Must be some stray dog or something. (She opens her closet door and takes out a broom.) (She then walks outside her house and looks around…) Hm…
She walks up to her knocked down trashcan out by the curb and picks it up.
Amy: As if criminals are bad enough, this city should keep these wild animals under control… (Something moves behind her.) !!!!! (She turns around to see nothing.) Hello?? Anyone here?? … Whoever you are, buster, you caught me at the wrong time! I need my beauty sleep for tomorrow so beat it before I do it for you!

Amy: Hmph… (She walks back to her front door.) I coulda sworn someone was here… (She closes her front door…)
Inside, Amy puts the broom away, and then walks to the kitchen to get some water to drink.
Amy: (Takes a cup and turns on the water in the sink. She was drinking slowly until…)
SMASH!! Something that sounded like a window smashing was coming from upstairs!
Amy: !!!!!! (Runs into the living room and looks up at the stairs.) It was coming from my room! … … … Ok, Amy… Don’t panic. You’re a patroller. You’re trained for this.
In the dark hallway leading to her room, she was holding her hammer on her shoulder and was holding a flashlight. She slowly approached her bedroom door and opened it slowly.
She shined her light inside and almost dropped it out of fear. Something blue and metal shined in the light of the flashlight. The window smashed was not too much evidence on how it broken in. It was Metal Sonic.
Amy: (She gasps in fear!)
Metal turns to Amy and rushes forward!! She quickly strikes at Metal with her hammer, knocking him into the ground!!
Amy: Metal! What are you doing here?! Did Eggman sent you?!
Metal: (He stands up and glares at Amy…)
Amy rushes forward to attack with her hammer but Metal quickly zipped behind her and kicked her back!!
Amy: AUGH!! (She thuds to the ground.)
Metal’s eyes scanned the room thoroughly until he notices something under Amy’s bed. He kneeled down and reached down to take out… Amy’s black box!!
Amy: Mff… (She looks up to see Metal taking the box!!) !!!! HEY!! (She quickly gets up) That’s MINE!! (Metal turns to her direction.) Give it back you tin can!!
She rushes forward to attack again, but Metal grabs Amy by her neck! He holds her slightly above the ground before tossing her into the wall. BANG!!
Amy: UGH!! (She lands on the ground.) Mmf!! Ugh… That hurt… !!!!!! (Metal was just about to leave with the box!!) NO!! (She rushes to Metal again and tries to pull the box away from him…) What do you think you’re doing, trash-can?! This is MINE!
Metal: (Tries to pull it away from Amy but she still resists…)
Amy: Don’t you know it’s not nice to treat a lady like this?! Give me back that box! NOW!!
Metal then clenched his robotic fist and punched Amy in the face!
Amy: Daauh!!! (She falls on the ground and slightly moans in pain.)
Metal’s thrusters on his back rev up as he flies out of Amy’s window!
Amy: Mmm… (She gets up… Metal’s punch left a bruise on her cheek with her nose slightly bleeding…) !!! Wait, stop!! (She rushes to the window and holds up her PRD watch.)
She presses a button and a hook-shot shoots out from the watch as it launches itself around Metal’s leg!
Metal tried to break free as Amy held her foot against the window, trying to pull him in…
Amy: MMF!!! Give me back… That… box!! (She struggles harder to pull him in…) GRRR!!!
Metal tried in vain to get loose from the hook-shot string. The string was starting to turn loose as he kept trying to break free.
Afterwards, the string broke off! Amy fell on her back while Metal thrusted forward, dropping the box! He tried to reach for it only for the box and himself to fall onto the ground. He clanged and skid to the ground as the box landed nearby…
Metal tried to get up to retrieve it, only to be almost hit by a truck which kicked the box away from him! Furious, he punched the ground with his robotic fist.
At the same time, Amy looked out the window and saw that Metal failed to get the box… He looked in her direction and glared at her with his robotic eyes… He then dashed away into the night…
Amy: (Still trying to cope with the shock as she looked from the window…) What… What the heck was that about?!
Meanwhile, at Rouge’s apartment, she was fast asleep in her room until her cellphone on her dresser rings loudly…
Rouge: Mff… (Puts a pillow over her head…) Shut up… Stupid… (It kept ringing and ringing…) (She tosses the pillow) UGH!! (She answers her phone.) WHAT??
Amy’s voice: (On phone) Rouge, it’s me! I need your help!
Rouge: (Talking on her phone while rubbing her eyes with her fingers…) Amy, it’s two in the morning… What could possibly be so wrong that you need MY help??
Back in Amy’s house, she was sitting on her bed, talking on her cellphone.
Amy: (Talking on phone) This is important, Rouge! I just got attacked by Metal Sonic!
Rouge’s voice: (On phone) Metal? What’s HE doing in Station Square?
Amy: (Talking on phone) That’s what I’M wondering!
Rouge’s voice: (On phone) Can’t you call the police or something?
Amy: (Talking on phone) Rouge, I’m a patroller! Aren’t we technically like the police?
Rouge’s voice: (On phone) (Sarcastic) Oh man, a trick question. How WILL I answer that one?
Amy: (Talking on phone) Stop playing around! Call Cream and notify Ms. Lilian!
Later, Cream and Rouge were at the scene of Amy’s messed room as Amy talked to Lilian on her watch.
Amy: …And then Metal Sonic flew out of the window until I caught him with the hook-shot! But then he got away… I have to find him and figure out why he’s here!
Lilian: (On screen) Why did Metal Sonic attack you? And… don’t you think it’s too dangerous to follow him?
Amy: Dangerous, shangerous. Metal Sonic stole something valuable from me and I need to get it back before he finds it again!
Lilian: (On screen) And what’s this something valuable that you need?
Amy: Um… Well… It’s kinda hard to explain.
Rouge: If it was a hidden stash of pictures of Sonic, she’d be more ballistic.
Amy: ZIPIT,ROUGE! … *Ahem…* So I’m gonna track down Metal Sonic before he gets away from me again!
Lilian: (On screen.) Amy, it’s too risky to go after Metal. He’s already made you his punching bag and I don’t wanna see any more bloodshed done to you. Let Rouge and Cream help you look for him. If you work together you’ll have an easier time dealing with him.
Amy: (Sighs…) Yes, ma’am.
Lilian: (On screen) Metal won’t be too far. Get some sleep tonight and you’ll all look for him tomorrow. (The call ends…)
Amy: … … …
Cream: So… What did Metal steal from you, Ms. Amy?
Amy: … To tell the truth… I dunno either.
Rouge: So what, did you forget what he stole from you five seconds after you lost him?
Amy: No, it’s-! … It’s something that I’ve been tinkering with for a while. You see, after me and Sonic defeated Eggman… I found this… strange black box with a code panel on it. I tried for weeks and weeks but I just can’t get it to open.
Cream: But why did Metal Sonic take it from you?
Rouge: You think it has something to do with Eggman?
Amy: Maybe… And I have a feeling it’s an important clue on this rat race we’re attending. If Eggman gets a hold of it, who knows what will happen?
Rouge: … … … Well, I had my share of crime scenes for the night. (Yawns and escorts Cream out of Amy’s room.) Come on, Squirt. Let’s leave Ms. Detective to her own work.
Amy: … … …
The next day… Station Square was bustling as usual.
Orbot and Cubot do their best to stay hidden from most of the people walking by. They hide behind some newspaper stand and quickly don some trench coats and fedoras.
Orbot: It seems to me this city is becoming more self-aware about the presence of Metal Sonic.
Cubot: Yeah! And they seem to know that Metal must be around here!
Orbot: We won’t get anywhere if we continue to dawdle around. I suggest we split up and look around for him.
Cubot: I have a better idea! We should split up and look for him!
Orbot: … … … Right. (Points behind Cubot) You take that side of the city, (Points behind him.) And I’ll take this side.
Cubot: Right-o! We’ll find Metal in the blink of an eye! (They were both about to venture forth…)
CLANG! Until they bumped into each other. Dizzy, they twirled around until they came to and ventured forward separately to search for Metal. They were both going in the opposite directions Orbot instructed, but… it’s pretty much the same outcome for both.
Orbot: (Looking around the streets.) If I were Metal Sonic, where would I be? If only I haven’t broken my tracking chip last week… (Just then, a poodle walks in and starts yapping at him!) ??? Shoo! Shoo! I’m not your enemy! Well… Technically speaking. (The poodle then bites his arm!) AAH!!
He tried to pull his arm away from the poodle with as much strength as he could muster until… Pop! Orbot’s arm popped off! He clanged to the ground, only to discover his arm was off! The poodle wagging it’s tail, rushes off with Orbot’s arm in it’s mouth!
Orbot: Oh curse words! My arm! (He quickly gets up and rushes off to chase the poodle!) Halt! Stop! Desist! Give me back my arm, poodle! Please! Stop!
Meanwhile, Cubot was looking around the other part of the city.
Cubot: Wow, this almost feels like a vacation! The city looks beautiful! … Wait, what was I supposed to do again? Uh… (He looks around, clueless until he turns to a store with a bunch of televisions at the window displaying a newscast of Metal Sonic’s picture.)
The TV ad says “Metal Figure Still At Large!” under Metal’s picture.
Cubot: (He stares deeply at the television screen…) There’s something I know I’m supposed to do here… I just can’t put my finger on it… !!! That’s it! (Turns around) Now I remember! I have to look for-! (The TV’s then portrayed an ad about yogurt.) … Ooh, yogurt!
He looks at the TV until something black appeared at the corner of his eye…
Cubot: ??? (It appeared to be the black box that Amy and Metal are after!!)
He picks it up and stares at it with amazement…
Cubot: … … … Meh. (Tosses it aside into the street.) I don’t have time to look at junk! I have to find Metal before I get turned INTO junk! (He whooshes off, not knowing where he’s going.)
The black box laid on the ground until a passing car kicked it further down…
Meanwhile, on top of a building not too far, Amy, Rouge, Cream, (Dressed in their uniforms.) and Cheese were planning their move to find Metal Sonic with Lilian talking to them through their watches.
Lilian: (On screen.) Alright. You girls look around the city for Metal. He’s probably going to plan an attack pretty soon so you’ll have to move fast. Do you have the chips I gave you?
Cream: Um… (She, Amy, and Rouge each hold out what look like small computer chips.) Yes. What are they for?
Lilian: (On screen.) These lockout chips should override his power mainframe that makes him function properly. If you plant these chips on any part of his body they can shut him down.
Rouge: Sounds reasonable enough.
Lilian: (On screen.) In order for these chips to work however, all of you must be within range and activate it all at once remotely with your watches. One last thing. This goes for all of you.
Amy: Yes, Ms. Lilian?
Lilian: If you do find Metal, don’t fight him. Just plant the chips on his robotic body and shut him down.
Amy: But… But he might go after what he tried to take from me! I need to find him before he finds it first!
Rouge: Especially since she wants to get back at metal-head for making her his punching bag.
Amy: Well-… D… Y-…Yeah! On account that he gave me a bloody nose! That is NOT how you are supposed to treat a lady!
Cream: But Ms. Lilian said we should go with her plan, right?
Cheese: Chao chao chao…
Amy: Pfft, I can handle that metal head with one hand tied behind my back!
Rouge: Yeah. You were probably thinking that when he kicked your butt last night.
Amy: Hey, he caught me off guard last night! I like to see YOU fight a robotic hedgehog in a nightgown!
Rouge: (Sassing in a mocking tone.) So was it the robot, or you? Clarify, cuz’ I’m a bit confused.
Amy: I-! YOU-!! DOH-!
Cream: Rouge, don’t make fun of Ms. Amy.
Rouge: Aw come on, squirt. Don’t spoil my fun for me.
Lilian: (On screen) (Calmly) Ladies.
Amy and the girls: (They get their act together.) Yes, Ms. Lilian!
Lilian: (On screen) (Calmly) Could you all please do me a little favor?
Amy and the girls: What is it?
Lilian: (On screen) STOP STANDING AROUND AND GET BACK TO WORK!! I DON’T CARE WHAT YOU LOST FROM HIM!!! YOU ARE TO FOLLOW MY ORDERS!! UNDERSTOOD?!?!?
The girls: (Amy and Cream are freaked out while Rouge just doesn’t care.) Yes, Ms. Lilian.
Lilian: (On screen.) Thank you. NOW GET BACK TO WORK!! (The call ends.)
The girls: … … …
Cheese: (Squeaky) Chao.
Rouge: Well, you heard the big girl. I suggest we split up to cover more ground. (To Amy) And YOU better notify us when you find Metal.
Amy: …
Cream: Me and Cheese can look on the east side!
Rouge: Fine by me. I’ll take the west side and Amy can take the north. Let’s move. (They make their leave. Amy was left behind.)
Amy: … … … I can handle Metal on my own! I just… let my guard down that’s all! I don’t need those girls’ help! I’m gonna find him before he finds that box first! (She jumps off the building and uses her hook-shot from her watch to grab onto a flagpole sticking out nearby.)
She twirled high up into the air before thrusting herself back down to earth and pressed another button on her watch. Her boots activated her rollerblade wheels and she lands on the ground, skating off full of determination.
Amy: (To herself) Perfect and graceful. Ten out of ten. … Maybe a little too hyped-up for judges’ standards. (She skids around the streets at top speed!)
Meanwhile… under some concrete bridges, some bearded men were hanging out…
Something blue and metal walked in… It was Metal Sonic.
Guy: Hm? (Takes out a cigarette from his mouth.) What’s that over there?
Guy 2: Heh. Must be some science project that came loose.
Guy 3: Hold up, guys. This must be that Metal creature the news’ been chatting about.
Guy: This little thing doesn’t look like it can pull any punches.
Metal: … … …
Nearby, Amy skids to a stop and deactivates her rollerblades.
Amy: If I were a sadistic hedgehog-like robot, where would I be? (She jumps onto the concrete floor after jumping the railing.) I’ll show those girls that I can take on a robot.
Just then, she heard some guys screaming! Without hesitating, she rushes forward.
Back to Metal and the thugs, Metal punches one guy in the stomach and punches the other guy’s jaw… The third guy pulled out a gun and pulled the trigger. The bullet however ricocheted off Metal’s head. He turns to the armed guy shaking with fear.
Just as soon as Amy rushed in, Metal punched the dude in the face, knocking him to the ground! He holds the guy by his shirt as he hovers off the ground.
Amy: !!!! (Calling out to Metal.) HEY, BOLT-BRAIN!
Metal: (Turns to see Amy. His eyes scan her…)
Amy: Remember me?! Time for a little payback from yesterday!
Metal: … … … (He drops the thud down and levitates to the ground.) … … …
Amy: (She gets in position.) You know darn well that I found that box first! I don’t know what you want with it, but you sure won’t be getting your hands on it!
Metal gets into position as well.
He rushes forward to attack Amy. Amy rushes forward as well and uses her hammer from her Weapon Downloader Rod to hammer jump high into the air! Metal gazed at Amy leaping high into the air as she came hurling downward to strike with her hammer!
Unfortunately for her, Metal swiftly dodged making Amy only hit the concrete ground. Metal quickly appeared behind Amy and kicks her!
Amy: AAUGH!! (She thuds to the ground, but quickly gets up!) You dare hit a lady?! (She rushes forward to attack Metal again!)
Amy kept swinging her hammer as Metal kept dodging each of her attacks!
Amy: (Each time she swung, Metal dodged.) Mff! Hold! Still! Stupid! Robot! AUGH!! WHY?! CAN’T?! I?! HIT YOU?!
Metal retaliated by punching Amy in the stomach. He then made a gesture with his hand as if saying “Come and get me”, and started to speed away!
Amy: !!! I won’t let you get away this time! (She presses a button on her watch which activates her rollerblades once again.)
She skates off as fast as she can to catch up to Metal! As Metal zoomed down the tube-like area, Amy skates nearby to his side. Nearly caught off guard, Metal thrusts forward as Amy tries to strike at him!
Nearby on top of another bridge, Rouge, Cream, and Cheese met up with each other.
Rouge: Any sign of him?
Cream: No… Me and Cheese looked everywhere.
Cheese: (Disappointed) Chao chao…
Rouge: I wonder how Amy’s doing.
Cream: !!!! Ms. Rouge! Look! (She points down below to see Metal and Amy zooming by!!)
Cheese: Chao chao!!
Rouge: Oh brother…
Amy continues hot pursuit on Metal’s trail.
Amy: Just because you’re faster than me doesn’t mean I can’t keep up with you! (She puts her weapon away and presses a button on her watch!)
Another hook-shot shoots out and it wraps around Metal!
Amy: HAH! Gotch’a! (But when Amy tried to pull him in, Metal began to fly faster, pulling Amy along for the ride!!) Whoaaaaawaaaaah!!!!
Metal kept flying at top speed as Amy was being dragged along with him! Metal was trying to get her off his tail as he kept moving left and right making Amy swoosh along those directions!
Amy: WAAAAH!!! Cut it OUT!! Stop moving, you piece of junk! (She almost tripped!) AAH!!
Amy quickly tried to pull herself closer to metal by pulling the hard string forward thus bringing her inches closer to Metal.
Just when she had the upper hand however, Metal knew what she was up to and quickly made a left, making Amy screech toward that direction!!
Amy: AAH!! NOOO!!!
Amy skidded up the wall and out of the bridge area! She lands on the higher ground, out of breath and exhausted.
Amy: (Groans in pain…) Ugh… That hurt…
Just then, Cream, Rouge and Cheese saw Amy and rushed to help her!
Cream: Ms. Amy! (She helps her up.) Are you ok??
Amy: Mff… I dunno… Am I?
Rouge: The way you tried to take down Metal all solo, I’m not surprised.
Something landed near the group… Metal was face to face with the Patrollers…
Cream: (Shaking in fear) M-M-Metal Sonic…
Amy: I’m not finished with you, Metal! You’re gonna pay for making me lose that box! (She rushes forward with her hammer once again to attack.)
Metal then punched Amy in the face once again. As Amy plummeted to the ground, the computer chip she had fell out. Metal eyed the chip and picked it up.
Cream: On no, the chip!!
Rouge: We better do the job before it’s too late. (But then, Metal zipped by Rouge and Cream, knocking them down!)
Metal had all three of the computer chips as he flung them in his hands apparently to mock the group…
Amy: (She slowly leans up…) !!!!
Metal clenched his robotic hand, crunching the computer chips.
The girls: !!!!
Metal opened his hand and bits and pieces of the chip fell to the ground… He then flew off leaving the girls behind…
Amy: … … …
Rouge: He got away…
Cream: What do we do now? … … … Ms. Amy?
Amy: (Grunts angrily as she stands up.) I can’t believe that stupid trash-can made a mockery of me again! If I see him one last time I swear I’ll smash his head off!!
Cream: A-Amy, calm down!
Amy: I AM ACTING CALM!!!
Cream: !!! (She hides behind Rouge with Cheese…)
Amy: (Panting angrily trying to calm down…)
Rouge: Amy, I know Metal’s basically owning you but you seriously have to chill for a minute. Maybe if you were to listen to Ms. Lilian’s advice it would be easier for you?
Amy: … … … Are you kidding me?! Do you have any idea what it was like facing that freak of nature?! He made me lose something of value and I won’t sit around and let him find it before I do!
Rouge: Ok, just what IS this thing that’s SO important to you than ANYTHING ELSE in the world?! Huh?!
Amy: I don’t know! I just don’t!! It’s something that’s locked up and I’ve been TRYING to see what’s inside!
Rouge: So what, is it some sorta box?
Amy: YES! And now I hafta find it before METAL does!
Cream: Amy, please… Ms. Lilian said we have to work together…
Amy: I don’t care about that anymore! Those stupid chips wouldn’t have worked anyway! I’m going to find Metal and put him in his place! Alone! … (She runs off.)
Cream: Amy! Wait!
Rouge: Forget it. It’s her own grave she’s digging. Come on, let’s update the boss.
Cream: (Worried) Amy…
Cheese: Chao…
Running, Amy tries to figure out a way to stop Metal’s reign… She then gets an idea and continues running to her destination.
Back in the SSP lab, Lilian was in the training room, patching up some of the training mats with tape.
Lilian: Honestly, Rouge. Do you HAVE to rip everything I own? (Sighs and puts another piece of tape on the mat.)
Just then, she heard something as if someone was entering the lab.
Lilian: ??? (She gets up and leaves the training room to enter the lab room.) !!!!!
Amy was scanning one of the prototype taser guns with her weapon downloader!
Lilian: AMY?! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!
Amy: What does it look like?? I’m going to give Metal a taste of his own medicine! (She quickly leaves with the tube sucking her up and away!)
Lilian: AMY!! STOP!! UGH… (Her computer notifies her of an incoming call.) (She walks over to her computer and presses a key. Rouge and Cream appear on screen.) Girls, you’re calling at a really bad time.
Rouge: (On screen) Well I guess you won’t have time to hear that Metal flew the coop.
Lilian: What?! You didn’t use the computer chips on him?!
Cream: (On screen) We tried but he was too quick…
Lilian: Oh for the love of…
Rouge: (On screen) Also, Amy thought it was up to her to fight him instead of us pitching together.
Lilian: ?!?!!? Well you better find her and bring her butt back here, pronto! She used her weapon downloader to scan the taser gun!
Rouge: (On screen) … Why didn’t I think of that?
Lilian: It’s not that simple, Rouge. The Weapon Downloader takes the form of the weapon it scans in its current state. Whether in good, bad, or prototype!
Cream: Meaning…?
Lilian: Amy scanned the incomplete gun. It will eventually break on her if she uses it.
Rouge: (On screen) … And there goes the hype.
Lilian: Forget the hype! Get that girl back before she gets electrocuted, now!
Rouge and Cream: (On screen) Yes, ma’am! (The call ends.)
Lilian: (Sighs full of stress and plops on an office chair…) Why can’t that girl learn to accept authority? Honestly…
Meanwhile, back in the city… The box ends up near a curb. Tails walks by, humming a tune until… He noticed the box.
Tails: ??? Huh. What’s this? (He picks it up) This is a nifty looking box. (He shakes the box near his ear to hear what’s inside.)
Little did he know that Metal Sonic was watching from on top of a building… His eyes scan downward at Tails until his sensors lock onto the black box… He stands up from a kneeling position and makes his move.
Tails was still curious about the box.
Tails: Whatever it is, it might contain something really cool. I’ll look into it eventually. (He thought he heard something.) ??? (He looks up.) !!!!!!
Metal Sonic was hurling straight toward Tails!!!
Tails: WAAAH!!!!
Just then, in a stroke of luck, Amy arrives!
Amy: TAILS, LOOK OUT!!! (She shoves Tails out of the way just in time for Metal to make a huge impact in the sidewalk.) (She gets up, angry and determined!)
Tails: AMY?? W-What’s Metal doing here?!
Amy: Stay back, Tails! Metal’s mine!
Metal turned to Amy and Tails. He still eyes the black box… Amy notices his look in the direction and takes out her Weapon Downloader Rod.
Amy: I know you want that box, Metal! If you don’t back down, you’ll be sorry for messing with a patroller!
Metal: … … … (Gets in position to fight.)
Amy: … Alright. Don’t say I didn’t warn you! (She activates her WD Rod and it turns into the prototype taser gun!)
Tails: Whoa! A-Amy, what’s that??
Amy: Shut it, Tails! I’m trying to protect you!
Metal rushes forward to attack. Amy jumps and uses him as a footstool to jump higher! Metal looked up at Amy both alarmed and… in good view of a nice show.
Amy: WAH!! (Moves her skirt downward and turns around, pointing the gun at him!)
She opened fire and the taser gun shot out a small burst of electricity straight to Metal at a fast pace! It impacted on Metal and shocked him with a powerful electric surge making him kneel to the ground…
Tails: WHOA!!
Amy: (Lands on the ground.) Finally! I got you, tin-can! That’s what happens when you mess with Amy Rose! (But then, her taser gun starts acting peculiar…) Huh??
The gun then starts shooting out a burst of electricity shocking Amy, making her scream in pain!
Tails: AMY!!
After the electricity stopped, Amy kneeled to the ground, groaning in pain… The taser gun was spewing with smoke… It reverted back to the WD rod low on energy…
Amy: (Moans in pain…) What… I don’t understand… Why did it break on me? … (She looks up to see Metal completely intact again…) !!!!
Metal has had enough with Amy getting in his way. He walks up to Amy and grabs her by her neck, holding her up!
Tails: Amy! (He tries to rush to help but Metal swished at Tails, making him fall backward.) Ugh!!
Amy: (She struggles to breath as Metal stared her down with his robot eyes…) Mffgh! Gg…Haa…Ghaa…
Metal clenched his robot fist as electricity surges through it. Amy knew her days were numbered for good… She quickly shuts her eyes, ready to accept her fate…
Just when Metal was about to strike however… CLANG!! A staff knocked Metal off, dropping Amy!
Amy: (She tries to breath…) ??? Is… Is that…?
Cream runs in and picks up her staff! Cheese accompanies her!
Cream: We found you, Amy!
Cheese: (Happy) Chao chao chao!!
Amy: !!! Cream?? Cheese?? (Rouge walks in…) !!! Rouge!! (Rouge helps her up.) H-how did you find me??
Rouge: We followed the voice of you trash-talking Metal.
Tails: Uh, girls? Can any of you tell me what’s going on here??
Metal slowly gained consciousness as he stood up.
Amy: Ok, long story short. Metal attacked me last night, made me lose that black box you found, and now he’s going to kill us and take the box for himself.
Rouge: You left out the parts where he kicked her butt.
Amy: SHUT IT, ROUGE!
Metal rushes forward to attack once again. Fortunately, Rouge attacked him with her sharp knife gloves. Metal backed off, clenching his shoulder which was bleeding oil slightly…
Cream: (Calling out to Metal) Oh Mr. Metal! Over here! (Metal turns to Cream trying to get his attention.)
He rushes forward to attack Cream. Thinking quickly, she uses her staff to pole jump high into the air and with correct timing, she stomped Metal Sonic into the ground and used him as a footstool to gain some air distance using her ears to fly.
Cream: (Giggles with Cheese) That was fun!
But Metal wasn’t done yet… He gets up and stares at Tails with the box.
Tails: GAH!! (Metal was approaching Tails as he backs away…) Uh, girls! I don’t wanna add any pressure but I think Metal has me on his hit list! Wouldn’t be so bad to ask for help right about now??
Amy: !!! (She rushes to Tails and stands in front of him!) Stop!! (Metal stops and faces Amy…) I won’t let you hurt my friend, Metal! You’ve gone too far this time! (Metal clenches his fist ready to beat down Amy again…)
Metal thrusts his fist to punch Amy again, but Amy catches his fist and tries to hold it back with as much strength as she could muster… Metal knew that he was stronger than her and was about to end the fight with his strength as electricity surges through his fist.
Amy could feel the pain of the electricity surging around and was about to lose her strength… Until at the last minute she thrusts Metal’s fist right into his face! The electricity from his fist shocks him and leaves him vulnerable!
She activates her hook-shot from her watch one last time and with all her strength, she flung Metal high into the air! She knew that her WD Rod was low on energy so she had to be quick. She grabbed it, turned it on to form her hammer and with one clean swift thrust when he was falling back down…
SMASH!!! Amy struck at Metal with her hammer sending him flying into the streets rolling and clanging until he was face down on the ground, unable to move!! And right in the nick of time, her hammer turned back into the rod, completely out of energy…
Amy: (Panting) … … … MAN, that was close.
Cream: (She hugs Amy) You did it, Amy! You really did it!
Rouge: I hate to admit it, but that was pretty impressive.
Tails: That was too close. Thanks for saving me... Station Square Patrollers. Heh.
Amy: It’s no problem, Tails. … Just one last thing. (She borrows Cream’s staff.) I’ll just borrow this.
She walks up to Metal, still face down on the concrete. Amy then held Cream’s staff high up into the air and… JAMMED it through Metal’s back! Electricity sparks rapidly until his eyes shut off… Metal was finally defeated.
Amy: Never mess with a lady, tin-can.
Tails: I’m glad it’s finally over. But… Can you girls explain what’s going on here? Why was Metal here? And… What is this box I have?
Rouge: I think Lilian would do a better job telling. Especially to Amy.
Amy: (She knew she was in trouble…) Huh boy…
In the SSP lab, Amy was sitting in a chair ashamed as Lilian was scolding her. Rouge and the others were nearby.
Lilian: I gave you a specific order to follow and you just did your own stunt right behind my back! Do you have any idea what could’ve happened to you?! You’ve could’ve gotten yourself killed! Don’t you know authority enough to follow MY rules, missy?!
Amy: I do… It’s just…
Lilian: You wanted to take down Metal Sonic on your own when I specifically said for you to do as I say!
Amy: I… I only did it because-!
Lilian: Because you couldn’t accept my orders! I told you to follow what I say and you just walk off on me! What do you have to say about that?!
Amy: … … … I’m sorry, Ms. Lilian… I just… I just wanted to get this box that he stole from me… I thought I could do it on my own… But I would’ve been torn to shreds if Rouge and Cream didn’t show up…
Rouge: (Smiles slyly.)
Amy: So… I guess I might as well listen to you from now on. … … … I’m sorry…
Lilian: … Amy I’m not trying to make you feel so down following my orders. I give orders to keep you and the girls in line and to give you instructions on what to do and when to do something. You need to learn that authority isn’t to bring you down and you shouldn’t rebel against it for that matter.
Amy: … … …
Lilian: Look… I’ll let it go this time, but this is only a warning. I don’t want this stunt to happen again. Alright?
Amy: … … … (She smiles…) Yes, ma’am…
Tails: Aren’t you going to tell us what this is? (He holds out the box and hands it to Amy.)
Amy: Oh yeah. I’ve been meaning to tell you all. This is a box that I discovered after me and Sonic defeated Eggman. It seems like it contains something incredible but it has a number code that I can’t seem to open.
Lilian takes it and looks at it.
Cream: Where did it come from?
Tails: Who originally owned it?
Rouge: And why did Metal want it so badly?
Amy: I can’t really answer all that. But I have a strange feeling that this could be an important clue to the Pink Craze. What do you think, Ms. Lilian?
Lilian: (Tries inputting a code only for the number pads to be reset.) Well whoever made this high level security box they did a pretty good damn job. I dunno if I can even open this myself.
Tails: … … … How about I look into it?
Lilian and Amy: Huh?
Tails: If I have enough free time, I’ll find a way to crack the code on that box for you girls!
Amy: Are you sure? What about translating the Pink Craze source code?
Tails: It’s still my number one priority, but I’d be happy to lend you a hand one way or another.
Rouge: Lucky that we have a know-it-all fox on our side.
Amy: (She takes the box from Lilian and gives it to Tails.) You’re a big help, Tails. I hope it won’t be too much a hassle for you.
Tails: Please! I could crack a security code in my SLEEP!
Cream: But what about Metal Sonic? We left him all alone in the street. He might attack us again if he wakes up!
Rouge: I wouldn’t worry too much about him. After what Amy did, I don’t think he’ll wanna mess with her and her hammer.
Amy: Darn straight!
Lilian: Alright, ladies. We had a really rough day and I think it’s about time for us to turn in for the night. Amy, from now on you have to listen to my orders. Understand?
Amy: … … … (Salutes) Ma’am, yes ma’am!
Lilian: And that goes for you two as well.
Cream: Yes, ma’am!
Rouge: Whatever.
Lilian: Alright. Dismissed. (The girls salute and make their leave.)
Tails: You girls go on ahead. I’ve got some code-cracking to do.
Later, in Station Square… Orbot and Cubot finally met up with each other.
Orbot: Any luck thus far?
Cubot: … … … What were we supposed to do again?
Orbot: (Face palms…) Oh the indignity! We failed to bring poor Metal Sonic back with us! Ask for him tomorrow and you shall find him a tin-can!
Cubot: Oh right! We had to find Metal! Uh… How did he get here again?
Orbot: Cubot, did your memory chip get disorientated in your head again?? The boss isn’t going to be happy to hear this news…
Cubot: Aw don’t be like that, Orbot! Look on the bright side!
Orbot: What bright side?
Cubot: Eggman doesn’t have to know that we didn’t find Metal! We can lie and say that we couldn’t save him!
Orbot: You know lying never works around the boss! He’ll see right through us!
Cubot: You think he ever tells the truth to US?
Orbot: … … … Well played, Cubot. But what SHOULD we say about Metal?
Cubot: Ooh, ooh! I got it! We can say that Metal was kidnapped by a crazy science guy who wants to experiment on him!
Orbot: Sounds a bit redundant… I like it!
Cubot: Boy will he be in tears to hear what “happened!” (He and Orbot laugh as they leave…)
Meanwhile, Metal was still on the ground… Damaged and all… But then, his eyes turn back on… He was unable to get up however… His vision was becoming static as he turned his head to see someone above him…
In his damaged state, he couldn’t analyze who the person was… The person smiled and held his hand out to somewhat pick up Metal by his face…
Metal’s vision turns to static and shuts off…
Riiiiiiiiing…. Riiiiiiiiing…. Riiiiiiiiing…. … BEEEEP.
Lilian! Lilian, are you there? Hello? … Um, ok… Uh… I-It’s Kevin. Kevin Blyner? L-Listen, I just wanted to call you to apologize about that… volcano project incident that one of my students did. I can assure you that no one was hurt and everything turned out fine! … Although it did take the janitors all day and night to clean up all the goop and such. Heh… Ah well. Eh, anyway… Are you familiar with this guy called Kane Miaozuki? He always seems to be into his work and barely talks to anyone. Eh… If you see him can you talk to him sometime? But- But don’t worry, he’s a nice guy. He won’t bite. At least I hope not. Anyway, just wanna give you a heads up on Kane. Nice guy. Really nice. Alright, I’ll chat with you tomorrow. Good bye.

To be honest, thus isn't one my favorite episodes I've written. Just tacked on action scenes that just pop in my head. But I'm glad you like it.
