I like most transition shots like these, due to their fluent borders. It's a really fascinating colourplay.

It is pretty cool when you hit the exact edge of the snow line like that. Living at the foot of the mountains myself, I've occasionally had times when I drove into town or back home and seen that subtly surreal transition between snow and not snow. If the conditions are right, the transition can be surprisingly abrupt.
