My first real attempt at a portrait - Roger 'Syd' Barrett, Pink Floyd's painter, piper, lost visionary. Probably my personal favourite of my body of work. I must admit to adjusting the contrast very slightly in Paint Shop Pro 5, so that the individual pen strokes in the dark areas were not so visible.

Wow, this is so dark and evocative, yet still a realistic portrait. I wonder so much about Syd Barrett and what he wanted to do. It's been ages since I had my old albums. Very, very good artwork.
