I like the soft lighting an general values. Idk if it's going to be a full color drawing or stay black and white so I can't say much about character design and shading, but in both cases it's not great that hair and skin of the character are of almost the same tone. Adding color might fix that, but only partially, so I'd reccomend adding at least some visible difference between them, especially if you don't plan to add any color. The eyes look cute, but the white of the eye is unnaturally light. Judging by the drawing I can assume the light source is above and slightly in front of the character so the most lit up thing must be the hair on her (her I guess?) forehead, but no way the whites of the eye. You can also add some light spots on the nose and lips to make the drawing look more 3-dimensional. The neck should be darker, probably like the dark stripe you added under her chin. I agree with another commenter on strands of hair, without showing them hair looks like it's made of placticine, but that might be just bc it's a wip. 
I don't quite understand why you left so much empty space in the canvas, will it be filled with other characters or another background? If not, I think it'd be better to crop it. Also usually (not always) it's not the best idea to place a character or another main object right in the center of the picture, it makes the composition boring and static. Normally for portraits adding slightly more space on the side the character is facing is advised, here it's the left. This is not a strict rule or anything, but often helps make the composition good without much effort.
The anatomy is obviously very stylized and cartoony so I won't say much about it. Generally it looks fine, no catastrophic mistakes, nice facial expression - pretty and showing the personality. The big nose is very cute hahah
But I'd probably make the chin slightly larger (only slightly or the cuteness will be killed) and maybe define the eyelids more, both the top and bottom ones.

The facial expression might not look clear, but I like your rich and vibrant value study.
Also, good job on glistening the eyes up. I don't know what your making, but it looks like it's gonna be good.

I'm not the best at digital painting but I'd still like to share my thoughts ^^ There are some great things that have been said by others on this piece already, so I would like to try and mention either things that haven't been mentioned before or specific things I liked.

I really love the eyes and nose here, very expressive and different from other portraits! I like the shading around the eyes as well as on the eyes itself, this tells me you have a good understanding of form and light.  I love how the light above the nose really sells the fact of how flat it is, along with the reflected light on the bottom making it very realistic. I also really like the way you painted the bottom lip, I think you used highlights very well for it!

When you get to the hair and bandana, it falls apart a bit and I'll try my best to explain why I think this is happening. Along with not really showing the strands of hair as others have suggested, I think it would help to reconsider how light or dark you want the hair and bandana to be. Because the hair is already shaded super dark, it is a bit hard to tell where the bandana begins when it is next to the hair because the bandana is also really dark as well. The result makes it not very pleasing to look at, at least in grayscale, and in your position I would use a light gray and go back and sculpt out the hair, paying close attention to where the highlights would occur, making it clear where the top of the bangs are. I think this will not only make it look more realistic, but also vibrant and more lively, rather than looking like a model/doll of a character if that makes sense. I'm also wondering if she has an ear that is supposed to be showing because as it stands the bandana seems to be covering her left ear completely.

All in all, I commend you on this grayscale art, as grayscale is something I'd also like to dabble in on the side. It seems very difficult in terms of separating one mass from another just using the color gray, but I think you are headed in the right direction!

Hello I'm from porject comment (aka a community that helps artists). I overall think that this picture is nice but i really feel like there should be color, it adds life to the picture. I also feel like the picture needs a background, its very plain, but thats my preference. I think the anatomy is great but its not flawless, the eye on the left looks bigger than the other eye. The hair also seems a little bit confusing, but its only on the top, I think that the hair on the top was confusing, I don't know what was going on with her hair. I think it could be fixed by just making the hair more realistic. imagine how a real persons hair would act in the position that the character is in, don't be afraid to look things up or do anatomy studies either, it really helps! Well, I'm hoping that my comment helps you progress in some way. I'm happy to help if my comment did actually help you! ^_^ This piece is really nice tho!! Better than my skills lol

This is Very nice! I really love how you shade things,The lighting,and Anatomy!

Though,Here are the things you should fix :
- The right eye (Character's Perspective) of the Character seems to be too small compared to the Left eye of the Character
- The hair doesn't look that realistic like the face. I do think you should give the hair more effects like more hair strands to match the style you're going for.

But Overall,This piece is very lovely And Cute! I love it!
