That is the most terrifying Pokemon-related thing I have ever come across!
Well, actually, the decision to name a Pokemon "Probopass" was the most terrifying, but Warty deserves a favorite!

Probopass?! Are you serious?! XD (I'm really out of touch with Pokemon these days. I know hardly any of the new ones...)
Anyway, I'm glad you like it!

Yeah, he's Nosepass's new evolution. There's also a Pokemon called "Arseus," I think.
Oh, and I got Super Paper Mario last night. It's a pretty cool game. Although the real reason I decided to get a Wii is because Diddy was revealed to be in Brawl, now that SSBB is delayed, I want something to play in the meantime.

Oh, it's that scary moustache thing? Yeah, I've seen that one. Of course, Nosepass was a dumb Pokemon to begin with.
It's actually Arceus, I think. (Though "Arseus" is really funny.) Supposedly, it's the god Pokemon. Isn't it a bit scary that you can capture a god? Keep it in a Pokeball?
I think you'll love SPM. It's hilarious, sweet, and very clever. I also think it's right up your alley because it doesn't rely on motion-sensing Wii controls to make it an inventive and creative game. Sure, you have to point the Wiimote at the screen sometimes, but mostly you hold it just like an old-school controller. The game is innovative in itself due to the creative and totally new idea of 2D-3D flipping- it's smart due to its gameplay, not just because it relies on a fancy system. This is what ideal Wii games should be like; not just depending on the Wii's controls to make them fun, but being quality adventures in themselves, and still contributing new ideas to the art of gaming in general that could be replicated on any system, regardless of control. The controllers enhance the experience, but it's not what the game should revolve around.

Yeah, it started out as a Gamecube game, so that's probably why. To be honest, those "aim-and-shoot-the-screen" bits seem like a rushed afterthought, and don't work too well. Maybe I'd set the sensor bar up wrong, but I doubt it, as the remote worked well with the menu.
Still, I can tolerate that as long as it's not the main part of the gameplay, and the dialog, yes, it may be the funniest I've ever encountered in an E-rated game. I liked it so much that I even started to supply my own voice-acting while reading it, although that made me hoarse after a while. Sometimes I wish Mario games would have more voice-acting as a whole, matched with that sort of writing, rather than such ridiculous statements as "I'ma Wario; I'ma gonna win," "Mario get you next time" or "Yeehaw; hi I'm Daisy."
At any rate, I still don't know exactly how many games I'll end up getting for the Wii. So far, not that much interests me other than SSBB, and I really hate that ridiculous Mario Vs. Sonic Olympics game. Of course, video games as a whole aren't that interesting anymore. Still, at least some of what I knew and loved is coming back into the spotlight. Finally, there's a Yoshi's Island sequel, finally, there's a River City Ransom sequel, finally, they're making Starcraft II and Banjo-Kazooie 3, finally, somebody cared enough about the great American videogames known as VIgilante 8 to make a fansite about them, and finally, Rare's contributions to the DK series are coming back to the Nintendo systems. There may be hope.

Oh yes, I gave it my own voice-acting too, when I was playing with my brother watching. And sometimes when I was home alone, too. XD Of course, I'm good at reading things with emotion and inflection, but not so great at actually changing my voice, so I can't give many of the characters the voices I truly imagine. My high-pitched girly voice doesn't translate well to the deep, charming, English-accented voice I imagine for Count Bleck. I can only do a crappy Scotsman for O'Chunks, and I don't think anyone could do Dimentio since I picture his voice having some weird distortion. But I can do the female characters pretty well.
However, I've been doing a supernerd impression for years, so I can do Francis nicely! XD (Have you gotten to chapter 3 yet?)
I wouldn't want the PM games to have voice acting, actually, any more than I would want Zelda to have voice acting. Reading and imagining the voices and inflections of the characters is part of the experience. Plus, the Paper Mario games are SO extremely cartoony, stylized and unrealistic, that having actual voice acting wouldn't really mesh that well, I don't think. But maybe it's just me. However, I wouldn't mind seeing the major stepping-stone Mario platformers with some voice acting- GOOD voice acting, that is. I'm looking at YOU, Sunshine. ("...Mama? He called me mama?")
"HI I'M DAISY!" -_- Oh God. I suppose it's better than the old Mario Party voice sampling for DK, though. He sounded like a constipated elephant.
Ahhh, BK3. The game I've been waiting for news on for over five years. When they actually announced its existence last year, I was absolutely shocked that word had actually come. So I'm pretty darn used to waiting, but I'm still anxious to hear more about the next adventure of my beloved bear and bird duo. This is the game I have anticipated for the longest time, and when Rare actually gives us some substantial screenshots and info on it, I'm sure my anticipation will explode.
Are you going to get Barrel Blast? I plan to eventually, but I'm getting Galaxy and pre-ordering Brawl first.
SPM is my favorite game for the Wii. Twilight Princess is good, but it didn't live up to my expectations, or capture the magic that OoT, MM, and WW each held for me. I can recommend it as a good game, with great controls, but it lacked that special Zelda spark. Rayman: Raving Rabbids is fun and funny, but maybe you might want to just rent it, and not buy it. If you liked the Metroid Prime games, you should get MP3- I'm in the middle of it right now, and I enjoy it, though not enough that I can't put it down. I'm taking it slowly. And that's about all I can tell you, I'm afraid.
So yeah, until Brawl comes out... TO THE VIRTUAL CONSOLE!
Oh hey! Now that you have a Wii, you can give me your Wii number! Then when Brawl comes out, we can fight Diddy vs. Diddy!
But yeah, these days I'm sad to admit that I'm not much interested in gaming either. There are the games I already love, and I will continue to love and obsess over forever, but as for the future... meh. Of course, there are certain games I'm really looking forward to, but usually they're just related to something I already love, and that's why I want them- for instance, I hope Galaxy will live up to SM64, and I love BK and BT so much that I'm crazy about BK3. But as a whole, I just don't care about the industry. But this is probably because I'm so freaking busy these days that games have been relegated to one of my last priorities. School and all my organizations come first, and they suck up all my time. After that comes art and reading. So I have little time for gaming. Seriously, I've been on MP3 for about a month and a half, and I'm not even halfway through. Now if I had a game that I really and truly loved (the way that I felt about SPM or Chrono Trigger for instance), I'm sure I would MAKE time for it- perhaps at the expense of my schoolwork. Luckily I didn't have such an insane schedule at the time I first played the aforementioned games.
Maybe I'd be less of a stressed-out individual if I took a little more time for gaming. I'm growing apart from my old pastime. At the same time, these past few months, I rarely am able to pick up a controller without feeling guilty, since at that time I could be doing my mountains of homework- and even if I'm finished with that, the perpetual obligations of Academic Decathlon, saxophone practice, studying for tests, and other things of that nature loom over my head.

I actually envisioned Count Bleck as sounding like Darth Vader. Francis, I gave a really spitty lisp to and made my voice very nasal. Mimi, I just shrieked in a high pitch a lot of the time, which I think is what finally strained my voice.

Yup. Apparantely the Water Starters were designed to be defensive, and Wartortle and kin are the only ones that actually do that effectively.
And Blastoise learns Flash Cannon by level-up, is that not awesome.

I always pictured Wartortles as being the aggressive teenager in the Squirtle lifecycle XD Squirtles are all cute and cuddly, Blastoises are mature and strong, Wartortles are just like "YARR, look at how tough I am!!"

Pokemon Stadium. Gah. Fun game, but I have bitter memories of it, as it erased my beloved first-ever Pokemon team. It doesn't even read the Gameboy connector pak thing anymore, and only works like a quarter of the time anyway. Out of all the games I have, from the N64 and even the SNES, it's the most unreliable...
