I wasnt really in a drawing mood yesterday, so i made this for the background of my new PSP. (that i got two days ago for my birthday)i ended up complicating it a LOT. origonally i was just going to slap these kanji pictures on and make them all glowy. then i ended up using the path tool to go over them, messed around with lots of glowing effects, and even went and spent ages making a background. i had a hard time moving the layers round a LOT, i had lots of thins, like two types of glow, a black shadow around them, and other stuff like that, so i moved the layers round a lot to see what had the best effect, and eventually i came up with that. i love the results so here you go.

from left to right:
[KAJI fire] [MIZU water] [KAZE wind] [TSUCHI earth] [RAIKOU lightning]
these are kanji characters. litterally means 'chinese writing' atleast that's what they are called in japanese. its the same text for both countries, though japan has two more alphabets for different purposes. im not sure about china. also im not sure but i think china and possibly japan follow the elements of fire, water, earth, wind and metal, or something.
but oh well. these are what i see as the elements.
P.S i am SO happy that DA has re-organised the categories when uploading pictures, i could just kiss it. i was just the other day saying they should do it this way, then lo and behold they did it just how i said. crap they're spying on me.
lol.
p.p.s the colours of the elements are based of my graphic art project, my own trading cards. in fact those same kanji images were use in the backgrounds of the cards.

Great use of color! The Background matches well and it has a great impact on the drawing. I love it and I'm inpressed. This picture is extremly well made and deserves acknowledgement. I do get impressed easily, but not as impressed as I am now. You got all the kanjis right, not to mention how cool they look. I wish I could be half as talented as you are. I know I'm getting personal, so I'll try to stay proffesion for the rest. Great work and it shows you have done a lot of work on this! Keep it up!

Elements are Cool And their colour fits the picture and behind them cirkle thing is like for bending or Justu's And Enjoyable ^_^ Alcemist and I dunno what to start with a program but my big brother and older bro are good in it especially my friends friend Learning is fun after all! I gotta keep writing I dislike to give up! and had enough of being enthrusted too much though and complaining or gossiping is not my tthing I'd like to help others with smile I erase such as Rage or selfishness (meaning that I seach is Happiness and I Chase Dream!!) ^_^ enjoy it!

you have to do a TON of analytical work (analysing stuff from professional artists) and they give you this sheet with a list of different things you can comment on and you end up holding on to it for the whole course and it becomes like your bible.

I see you don't know what i mean by that, allow me to explain:
there exists a sword in the game Xenoblade chronicles that is called the Monado, the sword has a "hole" in it which kanji symbols appear from for its different monado arts, the "hole" is actually multi layered glass, each layer holds a different symbol.

I think i did it that way because of this mock trading card game i made up as a college project, based on my naruto roleplay site. the five elements of cards of course had colours, but there was also darkness light and metal, and since metal was a silvery white-ish colour, having wind as grey like i was originally gonna do it was too close to metal and too boring (grey cus of like clouds and storms and other windy things XD) so i did it purple since it was different from the other colours. i also decided agaisnt the origonal blue, white and a bit turquois-y look the lightning had and made it orange since yellow was used by light and that's a bit typical anyway. so it's all good :3
all the colours here are the same as the elements of the cards lol

I belive light and Darkness should be elements. That is my opinion. I do agree that lightning is an element, because humans can harness it's power.
