Hi I'm from !Β Overall, the visuals here are VERY impressive!Β I particularly love the blurry contrast between the bubbles and the two characters, it's very interesting and makes everything stand out.Β The work on the bubbles themselves is VERY impressive, and I like how they appear to be almost phosphorescent with ghostly light.Β The pitch-black background makes me think of deep places far beneath the sea, where no light touches, and as someone who is mildly hydrophobic, it kinda freaks me out.Β The characters themselves are pretty well-done, and I like the bit of glow around The Other.Β There's a nice dichotomy between the two,and you did a good job of replicating Rhyn's face but giving his features an evil twist for The Other.Β The posework is really good too:Β It's hard to manage a picture when things go underwater, but you did a good job to give Rhyn's clothes a slight, float-y look to them.Β The expressions work really well, and Rhyn's look of terror seems legit, along with the absolutely chilling smile of that grinning ghoul that now has him in its clutches.Β There seems to be a very interesting story at play here, and I found the little bit of dialogue by The Other to be pretty dang spooky.Β Really excellent job overall, and this watery ghost fellow seems like one heck of an antagonist.Β There's a lot of ghostly implications here, and I just really enjoy the combo of the picture and the little nugget that we're told about this creepy dude.Β Very nice work overall!

Hey there, I'm a member of ProjectComment and I'm here to comment on your work!
To start off, I love the aesthetic of this piece; the visible brush strokes create a great realistic texture on the clothing, yet creates an abstract, chaotic pattern in the background that balances the two styles perfectly. Secondly, the use of cold and warm colours to contrast the two characters, yet also link them with the clever use of linework, really makes the whole piece pop. And I just love how the bubbles have this mystic glow to them, giving the whole piece a mysterious yet dramatic lighting scheme.
The expressions and poses are also amazing; you can really tell a sense of struggle in the face of the character on the left, and a sense of smugness and triumph on the character to the right. Really makes me want to know more about the two characters and their relationship!
It's honestly hard for me to find anything in this piece that could need improving. Perhaps one thing is that the blood could appear as a darker colour, as blood that is pooled in such a way as on his stomach would appear as a much darker colour. However, the colour they are does fit with the overall red colour scheme chosen, so this might not fit the piece. But, if they're underwater, you could show the blood starting to come off his body and floating around in the water, as it would set the scene even more than you already have.
Other than those small points, there's not much more for me to point out. The entire piece just has so much thought behind it about how contrasting colours can be used to both separate and link two characters, in a way I would've never thought of. It's stunning!

Hello. I'm from over at and I wanted to comment on your work.
Honestly, itβs rare for me to see contrasts in colors when it comes to artwork. Itβs awesome when the colors and the way the art is portrayed means something. What I mean is your use of the pale blues on the character on the left and the bright reds with the character on the right. It shows different sides of the conflict and the protagonist vs the antagonist in this situation.
I also like the bubbles in this piece too. Bubbles are something I was never able to do right. I always just made the circles, but you kind of play with different ovals here and I really like to see that. I canβt quite put my finger on it but I do get a sense that they are moving up from the bottom of the water.
As I am typing this I also noticed different auras coming off of the two characters. They have opposing auras that I think in this context shows their connection to each other. Iβm not sure what that connection is but it seems like one that these characters have had for awhile now. Well, either that or it was more to just make the line art stand out more. Either way, it looks great.
Overall, the colors and the situation of the characters all come together super well to show an atmosphere of danger and panic. Blue and Red are very underestimated colors when it comes to situations of danger and horror. Iβll be honest though, Iβm not sure that AU stands for. Iβm going to make a wild guess and say it stands forβ¦β¦ alternate universe? Iβm not sure. Either way, this is amazing and I hope you do more with your amazing style.

Aw, thanks so much for your comment! Yes, AU is alternate universe. I'm trying to be more bold in my use of color, so that's the plan. Thank you for your feedback and encouragement!

You know what? Rhyn has displayed a lot of emotions. A lot of pain. But there's one thing I've never seen from him: Submission. Defeat. For all that you've put him through, there's a willingness to struggle, to keep on fighting, to bear all manner of hardship as he pursues the conclusion of his story. It's a trait that makes him endearing, and which, I feel, will ultimately give him his success, fluoroid. Beyond that, this image itself is so striking. One thing I've always loved about your work is the intensity of the emotion that you portray. hmm... no, more than that. There's a solidity to your images. A sort of emotional *thump* that whacks the viewer, and keeps the eye lingering over the image...
I'm really and truly looking forward to reading your whole story, Fluoroid. And I also want to thank you for taking a peek at mine.
