well im bad at explaining things but basically, each color on the flag represents something. red is life, orange is healing, yellow is sunlight, green is nature, blue is harmoney and violet is spirit. there used to be pink (sexuality) and turquoise (magic/art) aswell. acording to the flag's wiki page, the flag was inspired from an old hippie flag called the "flag of the human race". there's more info on the wiki page there are pictures of the old flags too.
