"I want to be a huntress".

Ruby Rose is my all time favorite character. It only took watching her for the very first time in Episode 1 of RWBY to make me instantly like her character and what she stood for as a protagonist. Thus I was so delighted to finally draw her! And as I suspected I only really used reds and black to color her in.

This image is modeled after the cover art of the RWBY Anthology manga "Red Like Roses" though done in more of my style. The hand is different because I cannot for the life of me draw hands - drawing Ruby's hand took much much longer to draw than the rest of her body did. But also inspired by the anthology manga is Ruby's hair which I decided to color red. Moromoimaru did comic strips for their anthology where Ruby wants to die her hair red because she's the only RWBY member whose hair doesnt match their name / color theme ("Look at us! We're team BWBY!!"). Ruby though looks rad with red hair and I have a weakness for it which is why I went with red hair for my drawing.
