HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!!
This is his character, Luna:
She's playing the piano... probably Moonlight Sonata 8D; lol
...I feel her head is a bit too small though :/ Not too noticeable I hope 8D;
omg those piano keys almost killed me... i had to redraw them 6 times and i almost gave up... i even tried tracing on the 4th try, but that didn't work XD; finally i figured it out and that's what you're looking at now :3
Oh yeah, I'm open for commission~!

well, it's better if you have a good scanning program... i used to adjust things with the scanning program before scanning, and then edit the contrast and brightness with my art program as well... but i had the most success after buying my new scanner

yeah I can understand you as someone that has absolutely NO talent drawing/painting scenery and backgrounds and objects and stuff 
Last time I showed my friend a dark alley in a street I made ha said: "hm...hey so what's with this tree?" when refering to the alley....ToT
maybe I should start making sceneries non stop for a while and get this.... trauma(?) out of the way and get better in it
one of the things I thought when watching some vids is that if you can make the things you want in 3D and change the perspective right you can export that to an image an use it as it is or as a base layer to draw on... there's google sketchup that's free...I just don't know how to use it right yet hahah well just a suggestion though...
but still...I really find the hands to be very pretty and really well made! congrats

I think her head is just the right size. The expressions fit and the anatomy of the hands/wrist is perfect.
This conveys peace and music. I bet everyone that sees this piece can hear a piano in the background.

Uwaah, it has such a nice feeling ^w^ I'm a pianist myself and Moonlight Sonata is really fun to play ^^ Given the calm expression you've given her, yes, it would make some sense if she played moonlight Sonata xD

I like the subtle trail of sparkles in this, it helps bring out the rest of the picture. I really like how serene it is.
