It's even harder since I don't have a motorwind. I've been shooting at airshows for a long time so you get a sense of the timing needed to get the shot you want. Shooting a lot of film also helps, but it can get expensive.

I got lucky. I tracked them with the camera and took the shot when I thought it was right.

Years of practice. I've been shooting at airshows for over 20 years. Once I got an SLR, my pictures started to get good. You need a good camera, film or digital to get the results you want.

It's a matter of practice. Look into some basic classes near you. Now that things are digital, it's a lot easier to get into the hobby.
