Cool! I got one, and when i got it he was already almost a year, so sadly he never got tamed...:/

I got two of them and they aren't really tame. They sometimes sit on my shoulder or on my hand. Usualy when I give them some food they love xD
I had a budgie before. He wasn't tame until he was 5 years old So I guess you you can't say, they don't become tame only because they are older than one year And another thing: I don't like people who say 'My bird isn't tame I give him away'. Like they only want tame pets (doesn't mean you're one of them! Don't get it wrong, please). I like to watch my parrotlets

I grew up with a budgie (his name was Fomle ^^ )and we where best friends! Sadly he died 3 years ago.. We got another budgie and she never got tamed, she is always afraid, and I think we may have scared here to never get tamed. When Fomle lived he tried to show the new one that I was not dangerous, but she never dared trying anyway. (we did get a friend to fomle before this one, but he only got two weeks before he died in an accident. That bird was already quite comfy with me at the verry first day!) When I moved out from the house I wanted to get my own bird, so i didnt feel so alone. I got myself a Parrotlet named Manus I was too gentle with him, that's why i never got him tamed. So I gave the bird to my mother so the budgie back home could get some company. and because we where moving. I have had birds all my life, and until now i was lucky with them getting tamed. But those two fellas just sit faaar away from us doing almost NOTHING. They are not curious at all, just sitting on a stick in the livingroom. They dont want to get in the cage, only if they are hungry. And they are carefull to just go inside one and one so we cant lock them in. This has been going for a year now, and when summer comes mom has to move. Thats gonna be difficult. In this case, when they just sit there where you almost cant see them doing their stuff not interested in us, and shit and bite on the walls to my big brothers house, you sometimes actually wish they just fly out I love birds, even when they are not tamed, but these are just boring and so hard to try convince them that Im not dangerous when i stand 1m from them. I have to stay 5m away so they dont fly...-__- So hope you understand why i gave him away to my mother. I see the birds often though, but all birds have different personalities. But I may try again some day when i really have time to work with taming a bird..I didnt have much time doing that with Manus, so that was a mistake, but he was the ONLY parrotlet in the shop and he was soooo cute!
