I love this design! so much slicker! so modern! Β and it's not even the first time they ditch the undies anyway! they did it with the Justice Lords, that Ultraman design didn't have the trunks. even Batman ditched his own. (they were just there for censorship anyway). without it's more modern and more in trune with today's fashion anyway and Β it makes more sense! Β as long as the Symbol is on his chest, he could even wear "empowering female suits" he'd still be superman to me

Yeah I like the modern design. I think it brings in the alien origins concept nicely with the classic look. Good fusion. And the undies on the outside look had been made fun of for decades.. I think it works well with out em.Β

Of course they've been made fun of for decades but (some of) the very same people who cried about it, are the very same people who reject this new design (talk about not knowing what one wants!). this design was bold and I really liked it when I first saw it! (and I'm far from being a superman fan to be honest.)
of course it's not going to please everybody, but to me it was well thought. It brings so much more dynamism to the character AND strength! I mean, I look at this costume (compared to let's say Chris Reeves costume) and I instantly think that Cavill's makes him look far more dangerous, alien-ish and powerful than Chris Reeve's would ever be. which is how I really prefer superman's visual.Β
I really like the "belt" they designed on it too! which is far more interesting than the one in the comics (an actual red belt? come on! it feels like fashion faux-pas! I know that Batman needs a belt, but superman doesn't, not an actual one anyway) it looks like an arabesque embroided on his costume which gives it some "prince"-ly feel? something regal anyway. Β which fits to someone humans are often looking as a god!Β
