This is my newest costume thats been in the works now for almost 6 months. It will be debuted at Acen 08. This is everything besides the back sheath and sword, the long sword, and the armor plating and wrist blade on the left gauntlet.Related content

Was wondering how you did the hood. Figuring it out on my own is a pain in the ass(assin).
I looked up some mediΓ«val hoods, and they attached the hood part and made a seperate cape thingy...

Thank you! I basically found a hood I really liked and copied it flat into a pattern and added a little more to it. Then when you have that just divide it into the sections and stitch it all together. Just make a lot of mockups in muslin until it sits right on you. Another trick for these hoods is to use some interfacing around the edge of it and down the center so that it keeps its shape. Other people have had success with wiring in the seam too but I've never done that. Β

Yep that's just how mine is made. The hood is attached to the top vest part though that's the only difference. Good luck! and thank you.

lol i realized ur that guy from the fourm that posted on some web site idr what it is lol i gotta say im impressed the only "mistake" u made on it is the chest strap that looks likea a triangle is on the wrong side lol well good job man

i know he doesnt do this in the game but it was a really cool thought that im addin to my cosplay(just started :/) you should get some feathers and cover them in fake blood and hang them from the belt, like his "assassination feathers". like i said i know he doesnt do it in the game but i think it would be a cool detail.
but the best altair cosply ive really ever seen. the only problem is the right gauntlet it looks rediculously small.

I do actually have some feathers that can be seen in some of my pictures on cosplay.com. And the right gauntlet is supposed to be smaller than the left. My costume is based off the concept art and the action figure more so than the in game graphics. Thanks for the comment ^_^

The blood spatters are a nice touch. And kudos for the embroidery.

actually its not embroidery its an iron on transfer. :/ I do plan on going back to it later to embroider it
