Wow, even as ruins it's pretty.

Seems like the end of a pretty small building. Of course, they would have had to heat it . . .

Yes, it must have been a very small church...a chapel maybe...and it probably didn't have heating.

Ah, but I don't see these places every day. I wish I did. This was on holiday last year. Lots of the places in my photographs are from holidays. Still in the UK but not local enough to visit more than once or twice a year. We do have a couple of ruins/castles/nice houses locally but not as nice or dramatic as the ones on holiday.

One thing that you have in the US though...miles upon miles of forests! Because we are only a small island we don't get a lot of space for trees, unfortunately.

Oh, that makes me feel so sad and angry. Surely the redwoods are protected? Don't you have any forestry protection organisations in the US? I'm sure you must have.

Here in the UK we have The Woodland Trust (I've been a member since I was 18 and donate a small amount each month) which has been running since the 70's, that does its very best to protect ancient woodland, and buys forest and woodland so they can protect it from developers. They have done some amazing work and continue to do so -

It's so tragic how man is totally f***ing up this beautiful unique planet. Excuse my language.
