“...why?” his eyes widened in shock - and curiosity - at the question. Pacifica knew that he’d always gotten what he wanted without question; he’d told her so, so it was understandable that he was baffled by her inquiry.
Any hint of surprise was gone in the blink of an eye, “ because my dear, every king needs a queen to stand at his side.”
“No.” the simple word alone felt as if it had shattered all hints of the mystifying wonder of the Tent of Telepathy, and Pacifica was suddenly faced with an angry Gleeful who was quickly advancing toward her.
“Nobody says no to me you incompetent-” he’d backed her against the side of the tent and grabbed a fistful of her jacket.
“well i just did.” and Dipper threw back his head and laughed - a wicked, bitter sound that wrapped around her like a frost. She barely noticed that her feet were no longer touching the ground.
“Miss Northwest, you are possibly one of the most stubborn people I've ever met.”
And then he kissed her.
