Description
Finished the character with copic and the pattern background on Adobe IllustratorKind of a first time mixing the media, but it was fun so I will try to do it from now on with these kinds of works
I am not entirely sure if this was the best choice for a background but I wanted something simple since I suck at digital....

I love the colors and detail in this artwork. my favorite part is the trees on her dress and the detail on the rose ribbon. the little flowers pop out beautifully from the contrast with the purple/black colors. I feel like I'm in Japan during a festival when I look at this! I really enjoy the detail on her hair and I love the simple makeup. the only thing I would personally change is the background, and that's not a necessarily bad thing, it's just not what I prefer. the pins and clips look gorgeous and I love the original designs. How many hours did this take? I would have been sooooo done with it by 5 hours. The lace on the lady's shoulders is beautiful and mesmerizing and the flowers look great. The body proportions look great and I like how the dress sleeves flow off her arm. I think it would be cool if you gave her outfit more dimesion, but it might make it harder to draw the detail. Definitely keep doing the colors the way you are, they look great in your other pieces too. Adding more red would make it look royal, and yellow would also help to make colors pop out like the way you did that with the color orange. Also, I was wondering, have you ever thought about designing and drawing wedding dresses, I don't know, but I think you would be really good at that as well. Anyway, this piece looks fantastic and continue to make great art!

Just read everything. Thank you for the comment and I am So happy to know you liked it that much. Designing clothes and wedding dresses? Like a fashion designer? Weird. You are not the only one who says that. Well I am planning on making this characters for a comic/manga on the future, for the time being I only have the characters designs and personalities and a vague hint of the setting in general. I will call it "Forsaken". But.. I do not see myself as designing clothes, although I could give it a try since it's quite fun to draw them

I love the details in this piece. Particularly in her outfit and hair. Your color choices are really nice and complementary. For example how the blue and orange and her sleeve pop out, it is a cool affect. I also really like the pattern on her outfit particularly the red trees. I think the background pattern is interesting as well. Did you use a compass or a stencil to help? Because I know drawing all those tiny little circles would’ve driven me insane. I also have mad respect for the lace detail on the top of her outfit. I also think the shine details in her cheek and lips are a nice touch. If I was to say one negative thing about the drawing it would be that the portions on her arm doesn’t quite look right but that may be due to the sleeve of the outfit. Overall I really enjoyed this piece. Definitely keep up the good work.

The background? I made the circle in illustrator with the shape tool, made a circle, ctrl+c and ctrl+v to replicate then I got every shape bigger than the other until a formed the first pattern, ctrl+c and ctrl+v again so I can positioned the patterns as perfect as possible, I didn't knew a better method at the time (I still don't)
I will take care of the imperfections and improve 😊

Well, not that much.... 3 days. Technically 5-6 hours, I just used 2 hours per day since I have college (kind of a pity that it takes so much of my time)
