(A Spectre 081A) Searching for survivors outside of the city (to pick off). Originally a scout, espionage, and reconnaissance mech, the Spectre A variant features a modified depleted uranium 25mm Gatling canon in place of an additional communications array. Small groups of them are typically employed to mop up fallout survivors or patrol dead zones.

While immune to small arms fire, the robust senor array provides the most protection allowing it to pick its fights and avoid forces capable of retaliation. The unit is expensive and therefore requires careful deployment. Occasionally, a unit will fall into pirate hands, and is then proceeded to be stripped down and modified for direct assault use. Such variants are rare, but not impossible to find on the black market.
