Oh, I want to be a winged creature of perfect neutrality!
Why, cloud, take me, too, to the twilight world where I was meant to dwell in trees!

A wonderful drawing,
of faeries, too.

I like the feeling of this, the movement of the body, the colors. It has this book of faeries feel to it while at the same time this other worldly deal. Very nice work.

Awesome! I love the shape of the form. The pose really compliments the figure. It reminds me of Brian Froud, and the colors/textures look kind of like pressed flowers which is a nice effect. Great job!

EidosPsogos In reply to Tindomerel [2005-06-08 05:31:34 +0000 UTC]

oh i know i think it's great. i was just replying to the mind-blowing digital comment..... didn't mean to offend anyone. i wish my own drawing style looked as original as this. everything i draw looks like it came from a todd mcfarlane comic book. (he was my inspiration as far as pencil and ink are concerned....which is fine, but this piece shows quite alot of originality and flare that i feel i am lacking sometimes.)

If it makes you feel any better, I've been in a huge rut for months and am too afraid to pick up pencils again, being too afraid that my barely-existent "talent" will have gotten worse if that's possible.

EidosPsogos In reply to Tindomerel [2005-06-08 05:45:07 +0000 UTC]

i know that feeling all too well. sticking to digital lately. sincerely wish i could master the digital tablet.

but you may be surprised, i had a friend that asked me to ink a tatoo design for him after he saw me sketching something, and it comes back pretty quickly. so don't be afraid to get back in there. i'd spout off that whole riding a bike thing but that sounds a bit too cliche.

I suppose..

I think it's just me. Even my real-life friends hate the stuff in my gallery.

Beautiful! Such wonderful colours, I love your style. It reminds me of the illustrations I saw in a book I was flicking through recently...rather more morbid, it was a "pressed fairy" book, with little snippets of journal entry and paintings of unfortunate fairies that had been "caught" in the book and squashed, to preserve them like one would press flowers. Hehe, anyway - this is great work, I really love it.

I am glad that I am not the only person who thinks that this looks like something that Brian Froud would do. But, MY GOD! It is so wonderful. I looks like it was done by a professional. It's lovely how your colors contrast and come together to give the picture a very cool look to it. And for God's sake, you did it completely on the computer? *falls over and dies* I wish I had your talent. X_X
