Thank you! Yes, it's all about joie de vivre!

True, one of my more "happy" photos. Hm, yes, I guess I do tend to look for, when I take photos, images of melancholy for the past. This one is different: paying homage to the simple things in life that I love.

Yes! Samuel Beckett is perhaps my favorite playwright. I've acted in some of his works. "Endgame" is probably my favorite of his though.

Thanks!

I was part of a small theater company and we did a couple different programs of Beckett's shorter works, such as his radio scripts. We performed at alternative art galleries, live on radio, in a performance space at a major university dorm and, my favorite, in a church (the etheral acoustic really added to the mysterious "location" of a Beckett radioplay). I was "Voice" in 'Cascando,' and Henry in 'Embers' (i love that piece). I would love to play "Clov" in Endgame. I really "feel" that role more than almost any other ever written.

With that small company we also did a Eugene Ionesco play (on a traditional stage): "Hunger and Thirst." I just did a small role in that one.

Have you read much Beckett, and acted in any? It's so fun to play, so different; rehearsals (with the right people) can be so satisfyingly, interestingly challenging.

well, I visited the site - I think you are doing a great job with textures! also, I liked a lot the portraits - and some unedited stuff from your cityscapes -
as for theater - i am just a 'goer' - never acted, but I like Beckett and Ionesco - He was Romanian, but guess you know that already - you might find interesting his works from the 30's before he defected to France and started his playwright career.
Thanks for putting me in a special mood with your images and the reading tastes...
