This is the essence of Fursuiting, making those people smile who need it most.
Meet 3 year old Phéline, fighting leukemia with a smile that Math and Jail brought to her room in the Sophia Childrens hospital in Rotterdam.
I have met Phéline about a year ago during a very special event named "Dreamnight at the Zoo" in Rotterdam Zoo Blijdorp where she instantly fell in love with Pinky. Right there and then her future wasn't very bright and doctors thought she had about 3 to 5 weeks left to live.
Half a year later I got into contact with a doctor from the Sohpia Childrens hospital in Rotterdam who had computer problems that I helped her with. During the repairs she noticed my laptop having a fursuit wallpaper and we talked about the event in Rotterdam Zoo, she knew about it and loved the costumes! She then invited us to visit the hospital and a few months later I had the joy of organizing a dance party with no less than 9 fursuiters and me as their DJ! (In fursuit, too!)
For this dance party a poster was put up through the hospital inviting all the kids and on the big day we were contacted with the news that this girl who had only 5 weeks left to live months before that day was still with us and had been asking for her best friend Pinky all week after she saw the posters in the hallway.

That is a sweet thing to do that is so cute to see children smile especially when they are ill and do not smile very often. I think that was a kind thing to do. I hope that it went well and was fun.
