Thanks to PkHousey I want to replay Halo 3: ODST and draw probably my favorite character of that game, Veronica Dare. She has some nice armor and I don't see that many good fan-art on her. Not a single good one, in fact. So here ya go.This girl deserves WAAAAY more fan-art. After all she was the first to wear that magnificent helmet we all know and love :3

I think you may know that she's unlockable, right? Just complete all the campaigns on Legendary difficulty.

Yeah, I play as her too. Unlocked her 5 years ago when I first played ODST. Played Firefight 3 days ago right after I finished this artwork. Unfortunately, I don't play it at all because nobody plays ODST anymore

Yup, exactly. That's what Dare's armor is mostly known for while most UNSC issued armor are completely flat and hard-surfaced (which i honestly prefer more).

Sadly, she only wears the helmet in the intro. Afterwards, it's only seen on her multiplayer model.

Exactly. Thanks for a comment! I wish we could find out more about her backstory and how high she is in the ranks of ONI. The story about ONI and Dare would be really interesting.

Dare's story is honestly more interesting to me than ONI's. ONI is easy to figure out; they're always doing shady stuff, always skirting the lines or outright stepping over them, and not always for the good. Dare seems to be of a different mindset, not quite as shallow as many spooks from ONI are.

That what I meant. I want to know her story about her reaction to ONI's orders, to their way of thinking etc. Besides. We've never even get an actual idea of what ONI are about. I would be down for "the dark secret of ONI" type of stuff. That type of game with Dare as a main character would be a revitalization of a Halo Franchise IMO. That's what I thought Halo 5 would be with all those "Hunt the Truth" podcasts and ONI material everywhere. That Halsey's speech: "After all we have done, they will order you to kill us both" I find that to be a way more interesting concept. And that's why I think our buddy Chief wouldn't work in this scenario. He's too typical for this genre of story. That's where Dare comes in.
