Now, this is a picture that shows the compassion and expression of classical music. I love the background and I like how the water in the rocks is covering up half of her body. It's beautiful. To me, classical music is... sexually, passionate. It has to be played well to get the TRUE feeling and the right appreciation of a string instrument. And the only will real way is to know that feeling is to express it in art or play the instrument yourself.

Wow that's lovely! So eyecatching! The violin brings life in it's music and sorrow as well a story to tell. Painting our ears with it music and leading the souls to the bow to play.

I'm sorry, but the first and only thing I noticed here is that her bow grip needs work. That flaw directed my attention to the fact that she's holding it at too much of a downward angle. That sends a different message than the look in her eyes does. Her eyes are full of intensity, but her stance is full of insecurity. Perhaps that combination could work in some contexts, but I think it clashes too much in this context and subtracts from the emotional impact of the piece. Also, violinists look more powerful and graceful when photographed from a slight angle, instead of the straight-on shot that this is. Violinists are, by nature, caught up in their own world when they play, so the statement is more powerful when the violinist is angled slightly away from the camera but still with his/her eyes directed at the camera.
*looks sheepish* I'm a violinist...
Yeah...
My personal opinion, instrumentalists should make sure that they're holding their instruments correctly when they model. Unless the photographer makes an effective statement with the incorrect form, it reflects poorly on the artist, not the instrumentalist, when the technical form is imperfect.
I do, however, absolutely love the poem.
Don't get me wrong, this is a good piece, I would love it if I could stop getting hung up on the details, but hey it's the details that make good art great, right?
