Description
The annual Rubber Duck Race in Fairbanks, Alaska involves dumping more than 5,000 rubber duckies into the river. At the end of the race, the ducks are funneled together using oil booms and scooped up with fishing nets.Related content

TOO. FRIGGIN" CUTE!!! I love rubber duckies!!! I wish they had more of these events around the world...that, and Rubber Duck-zilla, the biggest rubber duck that floats in the oceans of asia annually.

I've volunteered to help run my library's duck race for years and I can say its quite fun watching all the ducks floating down the river! ^-^

Wow, so ALL those people who entered the race were just too lazy to retrieve their ducks from the water? I mean sure, several were probably too hard to retrieve, but it looks like all of these were pretty close to shore.

The ducks are supplied by the city, so they have some designated people to scoop them up and store them for next year's race.

Not where I've lived! Guess only the northern states do.. plus, I come from the desert, so that doesn't help, lol nothing really festive or fun at the towns I've lived at!
