So well, that Pokémon story I have planned between Ash, Misty and Serena is still going, although I first decide to write a "prologue" detailing how Misty and Serena meet each other and become friends. That was originally going to be told in flashbacks, but after a past experience I decided to make those flashbacks a separate story instead. While the title of the main story has yet to be decided, the prologue's will be the same as of this pic (partially based on that of the Indigo League episode when Ash and Ritchie fight each other). Which is pretty much the general idea I have in mind for these two. I mean, just because they'd be rivals for the love of the same boy, it doesn't mean they can't be friends and get along, does it?

Ya podrán adivinar el significado detrás del título. Si no, las gorras que sostienen las dos deberían ser una pista muy obvia
Y bien, esa historia de Pokémon que tengo planeada entre Ash, Misty y Serena sigue en marcha, aunque decidí primero escribir un "prólogo" detallando como Misty y Serena se conocen y se hacen amigas. Eso originalmente lo iba a relatar en flashbacks, pero después de una experiencia pasada decidí convertir esos flashbacks en una historia separada. Aunque todavía no decido cuál será el título de la historia principal, el del prólogo será "Amigas y Rivales por Igual" (basándome parcialmente en el del episodio de la Liga Añil cuando Ash y Ritchie se enfrentan). Y más o menos es la idea general que tengo en mente para estas dos. Quiero decir, solo porque sean rivales por el amor del mismo muchacho, no significa que no puedan ser amigas y llevarse bien, ¿verdad?

Jeje, de hecho, más que molestarla yo creo que Misty sería algo protectora con Serena, aunque no por eso dejaría de darle empujoncitos ocasionales para que tenga más confianza en sí misma y sea un poco más atrevida. Al mismo tiempo, Serena le ayuda a Misty con la parte de ser un poco más femenina, como cocinar o ser más dulce con Ash

Jeje, yo sigo siendo Poké principalmente, pero me encariñé con Serena y el Amour. Y que lo digas, en el mío traté de darles trato equitativo a las dos y tratar de hacerlo divertido, porque fics llenos de drama y con una de las dos intentando matar a la otra ya hay demasiados.

Yeah. Misty, May, Dawn, Iris, they all could have done it, but it was the newest one that did it first, and during the series' 20th birthday too.

I've already seen lots of artwork of her, for obvious reasons. And with this design, I know for sure that they're gonna make her Ash's school teacher (I still can't believe they're doing a back to school arc).

Looking back to the previous series, it's pretty much clear that Serena and Misty were the only ones who ever showed any romantic attraction to Ash. His relationships with May and Dawn was more brother-sisterly like (it also helped that they each had potential romantic partners with Drew and Kenny respectively), and Iris... I'll just say that she was my LEAST favorite female lead and leave it at that.
Hmm, don't know if it's the clothes, the hair or the glasses, but she doesn't quite convince me.

Very nice picture, I think they look great here. I really like Misty's outfit and Serena's hair, as well as the gesture they are both making with their hands. I like the hats too. I kind of like the idea of them being friends but still rivals over Ash, it kind of reminds me of Betty and Veronica from the Archie comics fighting over Archie, but still being the best of friends, especially when Archie is not around. Anyway, nice picture, I await seeing more of these.

Thanks, glad you like it. Yeah, I don't think it would be too hard to guess who is who on the triangle. The heart gesture is more or less symbolic of them bonding over their shared love for the same boy. I have yet to see a story where they're portrayed this way (as in, with both of them as friends with each other, and having more or less equal chances with Ash, with neither having a clear advantage over the other).

Usualmente, cuando una "desconocida" se le va encima a Ash, la reacción natural de Misty es "espantarla de inmediato". Pero en lo que planeo, Serena y Misty se harán amigas sin saber que la otra conoce ni mucho menos que está enamorada de Ash. Para esas alturas, Misty ya considerará a Serena como alguien agradable y una de las personas más dulces que jamás ha conocido, y no le parecerá apropiado ponerse antagónica con ella después de eso. Más todavía porque verá que los sentimientos de Serena son sinceros y que se enamoró de Ash por las mismas razones que ella, así que no tendrá derecho a juzgarla.
