I might find another one to replace it though, to be honest. But yeah, Iβm a pretty staunch opponent of infant circumcision unless itβs medically necessary.

I got circumsized at 5 years old... and now my banana is still functional, clean, healthy and normal...
I see no point as to why you should be against circumcision. Circumcision is not about aesthetics, it has two meaning:
-In a religious way, many religions use it to "bless" the child. Infant or Adult... it's the same process.
-In a health way, it does jack shit about health however it can be very useful for let's say cleaning the seringe.
Now yes this makes the weewee more exposed to the elements and more vulnerable but pretty much 90% of the time it's stuck inside a sheet of tissue and the only thing that touches it is that tissue (aka underpants).
Also an infant or child knows jack shit about life at first, so it's pretty hard to make a choice. BTW you can still masturbate circumsize...
I see no problem with this practise

Removing part of a kid's penis is NOT a blessing in any way. The parents should wait till the child is older, then the kid can decide!
Not only is it a violation of rights, it's also very painful for the baby.
His penis = His choice

Well you are talking to a person that got circumsized right here right now in front of you and I can assure you it was indeed painful but I didn't really care.
Don't generalize on everyone. It's not really a violation of rights. The parents know what they have to do for the child especially in health situations. As religious thing, I do agree that circumcision is kinda pointless...Β but again babys and young ones do not have rational thoughts and are not able to make good choices.
Again and I repeat, right in front of you you have me who is one of those child with a circumcision that happened when I was quite young. And I personally don't feel offended or bad, I feel VERY fine.

Well, you don't care, but I'm sure many do.
It is, because it's HIS penis, not anyone else's. Circumcision actually has no proven health benefits whatsoever. No, they can't make choices at a young age, that's why the parents should wait till the kid is older, so that the kid can choose what happens to HIS penis.
I'm saying this again: His penis = His choice
I don't plan to ever have kids, but if I do and get a boy, I'm actually going to be a good parent and wait till he's older so that he can decide for himself.

But then at this point circumsicion is kinda pointless.
See the reason they are made when we are still young is because we haven't reached puberty yet and the penis is still not fully developed. So I think they do it at a very young age because of that.
Because let's be honest like 99% of everyone above the age of consent and of being able to make choices will not partake in circumcision.
If the kid grows up to become someone depressed or unhealthy and stuff like that then it's not because of his wee wee being circumcised but mostly bad parental care or bullying or bad health care etc.
I am pretty sure that a lot of people who got circumcised (properly) do not even care of what happened to them like you say they would. I can tell you it was indeed a very painful experience but you just get through it.
Note that I said between brackets "properly". Because yes we can agree that there are places where it isn't done correctly and at this point YOU can eventually fight and protest for them. Again same issue that many SJWs or third wave feminists or anti-circumcision squad have: you always fight for a problem that no longer exists in western and developed countries instead of places where those issues actually exist

When they're older, they might prefer the way it looks when it's circumcised, and who cares if they will not partake in it, it's their choice!
I've actually met many people online that have been circumcised, and many of them hate their parents for doing it to them!
Circumcision is a violation of human rights!
Circumcision is nothing more than a "cosmetic" procedure that has no proven health benefits!

Hey it's not because the ones you met hate it that everyone should hate that. Everyone is different, don't generalize.

Then what you heard is absolute bullshit. The foreskin actually has a number of purposes and one is to protect from infection.

Personally, I like the appeal of it being cut, I do agree however and would leave my child/bf/husband to make that own choice since it's their body but for those who can't reverse it or have made that choice, I think of it as very, very alluring. When I think uncut, I think of cheese in folds, bagged sausage and I just do not see the appeal whatsoever for uncut. For the man I do automatically, more sensitive nerves reside in foreskin. For the female it's just personal preference and will always be that way.

I am personally indifferent to the whole circumcision thing, but at least the Jews and the Muslims have a good reason to do it. (Some tribal peoples in Africa do it too.) They do it for religious reasons. It was introduced in the Western world to prevent masturbation.

It was incredible when I brought this issue up with some male friends... None of them knew that it wasn't just "a flap of skin", that it actually had anatomical functions, and that their sensitivity has been diminished. One of the guys legitimately panicked, and I think he had an emotional conversation with his parents over it.
It's my hope that if any of the people I tell about this issue have a male child of their own, they'll think twice before making them look like daddy. Baby boy can always grow up and choose to have the procedure done under anesthetic later.
Your baby is your baby, but your baby is also a person.

Family. They make the choice to do it or not - even if they make the choice to not do it and wait for him to be an adult to make the choice himself, the family still made that choice to wait. Hence it's a family choice, and not a political issue.

So basically this another one of those anti-semitic stamps against something that has been part of Judaism since the covenant between HaShem and Abraham.
Instead of hating on Jewish beliefs, why don't you make a stamp about Catholic priests molesting little kids?

CelestialSeductress In reply to mariasindellagrayson [2016-07-22 15:11:34 +0000 UTC]
Shut the fuck up. Seriously. I'm not even remotely religious, but that is not what this stamp is saying. Your religious freedom are protected so the rights to your body and beliefs are not infringed upon. That changes immediately once you begin saying, "You can't do that! It goes against my religious beliefs!", because that is not your body and therefore, not your decision to make. Commonality is not normalcy. In the area I (unfortunately) inhabit, rape and murder are common. They are not normal however.
