Description This animation is a 16 frame loop of my original character Silvia walking at a gentle pace.  My process worked as follows.  First, I found two images of the same fox running with legs in opposite positions with respect to the other frame.  Without tracing, I looked at the references and sketched two outline poses.  I then set these poses to frames (1 and 5) and frame (3).  I then sketched frames 2 and 4 between these poses to interpolate the intermediate position.  Setting a new blank keyframe between each pose which I had previously sketched, I then doubled from 4 to 8 frames and then once again interpolated to arrive at 16 frames.  Each time, I used the onion skin viewing feature to faintly view the frame before and after each newly created blank keyframe during the interpolation process.  As I only animated the legs changing position in a regular pattern, the face and tail were loosely re-sketched for each individual frame, which creates the loose cutout look with its minor variation from instant to instant.  The 16 frame loop takes up 2/3 of a second in this 24 frame per second animation.

I took each sketchy outline and set it to off-white against a dark background.  I used the brush tool in Flash with tilt and pressure sensitivity on so as to develop solid curves and lines to outline Silvia's body in each frame.  Using the paint bucket tool for solid red and then the "paint inside" option to delineate regions of different color in the fur, I painted Silvia's colors across her body in each of the 16 frames.  I sourced the pavement with grass image from cgtextures and used 3D rotation and 3D translation within Adobe Flash Creative Cloud (Flash CC) to position the ground underneath Silvia.  Four identical sections of the image are used, and her 16 frame walkcycle loops 3 times within the loop of the ground traveling underneath her.  I can credit the choice of a white outline around the colors of Silvia's body to the art style used in the animated series "Pablo the Little Red Fox" which can be found on YouTube.  This 960 x 540 (quarter Full HD) animation took 7 hours to produce in Flash CC.

Silvia walks along the pavement in an endlessly repeating cycle.  Without much detail in the background, the focus is on her coordinated muscle movement.  Managing to walk on all fours comes naturally to her reconfigured cognition.  There's no calamity for now, and this fox savors the opportunity to enjoy the simple things in life.  The old cobblestone path in the former park meanders across the land without much else in sight.  (Silvia is a character from my original story "Transpecies."  In short, she becomes her fursona, but there's a lot more to it than that.  You can explore the rest of my gallery folder or consult my November 2014 journal seeking readers for more information.)

I realized u said the critique and comments r appreciated so imma give u some critique.

This is really good. But the body and neck of the fox are too long in proportion to the legs. The face's anatomy is also a bit off. But other than that there are absolutely no faults. I think that if you practice ur anatomy a bit you'll become an A+ artist!

But really tho I'm horrible at animation

I can now see the faults that you identified.  The neck is too long, and I realize the face is bent at an angle toward the viewer.  I recognize the importance of studying anatomy more.
