Description
This is my original character Adler. You've seen him in my comics has a baby, but here he is grown up.There was a question about the mask you can see on Adler's design sketch. Now I can't say everything that has to do with that mask. Mainly, because I'm still working a lot of it out still. Someone did ask about what good is a mask that you can't take off.
Well, for one thing the mask can't be destroyed, and secondly is does THIS!
I colored the line work on Adler, because I wanted him to have a glowing look. I've seen this trick in more recent Fred Perry works. I loved that effect so I wanted to try it out on this. The white lines were too light. I mixed that up by adding some blue.
This isn't my image to celebrate the 30,000 hits. That's coming up next, and it's something I'm pretty sure the ladies are going to enjoy.

The mask wont move of it's own will, but with him like this. Shooting a gun isn't an option. Basically, your shots would never connect.

I don't see why I would mind. It's not my idea. Basic way I could describe his Inari mask is it's a deity mask.

I haven't really said much about Adler's past. I'm still writing and fleshing things out. He's not an alien. More like another plain. Some answers you're just gonna have to wait for.

Hmm Considering the fact that I can't see mask (or maybe I'm the only one blind here XD) one could assume that it somehow "melts" into user body and allows him to use some kind of energetic attacks.
I wonder... is this change of colors (as if it was a negative) is caused by collecting energy in his hand or maybe he "transforms" into this version?? Cause I compared him with his "normal" version from the pic when you introduced him, and his eyes looks much "sharper" here like those of... bird of prey and his eyebrows resembles lightings. Does he inherited part of that "lighting-theme" from his mother or maybe it's a thing he got from Inari-mask ??
Hmm what actually is that piece of multi-colored material he has fixed to his right side under that armor-thingy on his leg. Does it have a sentimental meaning or maybe it's just a decoration, or maybe it's just place where you can show his colors-theme because his 2 years old version had kimono with same color pattern??
I totally adore his armor and I changed my mind... it doesn't look like ninja's (where was my brain when I was writing that it looks like ninja's armor, I dunno). I'm not a specialist but it looks like parts of Samurai's armor especially those pads he had around his waist and those on forearms

You are partly right about the mask. If you have ever played Zelda: Majora's Mask you might have an idea.
It's not so much a change of color, but a side effect of using the mask. His hair is already white, but so does his skin. If you know anything about the deity Inari then you'd understand.
The same goes for his eyes. Inari does mean eagle in latin. That's just about his eyes.
That wasn't really suppose to be lighting. It's was suppose to be blue flame, but I screwed up. I was just making what looks cool.
The pattern on his pants is a callback to his kimono.

No need to be gentle. He's a tough guy. You do have some competition though. I have it written, but just haven't drawn the girls who are after him. I'm having a hard time naming one of them.
In my design he has a small satchel that he wears on the back to hold small tools and such, but I didn't add it in this image. Didn't want to hide that ass shot.
What you see in this picture is what that masks he is wearing can do. Ever play Zelda: Majora's Mask? I got the idea of a mask transforming someone from that game.

The idea about the mask that can't be removed reminds me of Utawarerumono, but Hakuoro's mask couldn't do that!X3 And he looks like he's using Rasengan from Naruto, which is cool:3
Was any inspiration taken from those two?

Well, I've never heard of Utawarerumono, and my original idea was to make that look more like blue flame. I just did that swirling look because it looked cool

Nope, this isn't a negative. All the colors, with the exception of the pattern on his pants are set to a blue/white tint.
The color white is rather important. Thus his natural hair color.
