Description This is my version of the events at the end of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. You'll notice that they have black ties rather then the school colored ties. I thought for the funeral at the end of the book they should wear black ties. In Harry's hand you can see him clutching the fake horcrux.
Ron and Hermione are in the back. I was pleased with Hermione's bushy hair.
I originally wanted to do these cool layered clouds, but in the book was described as a perfect day.

The image was traditionally drawn, but everything here was created on computer using my drawing as a guide. It was really weird drawing Harry more grown up. I noticed the scene looked so stagnant, but I added the leaves to blow in the wind.

I'm normally a fan of much more realistic drawings, but this works surprisingly well. Definitely worth a fav.

I don't like drawing things realistically. I say that if you want something to look real. Take a photograph.

You can set up events. They make Harry Potter movies and take pictures.

wow this is such a good pic.

i was really happy it was a perfect day in the book. rain is so cliche for funerals... honestly, can't good things happen when it's raining? *sigh* But you did really good with making it look sad and forlorn without the use of overcast days.

y'know . . . i bet they'll make it rain in the movie. they always ruin everything in the movies. *sigh* poor poor Lupin.

Thanks. I wanted to make the clouds gloomy, but the book described a sunny day. I thought the blowing leaves gave the feel in their place.

Cool. My first sketch was crapy. I drew everyone a little too real looking and for some reason that never feels right. It just feels natural to draw them looking like toons.

Can you believe I entered this drawing in a fan art contest on a fan site, and it didn't win in any place? It wasn't the other art people made was better. People seemed to be voting on the moments from the books they liked rather then teh quality of the art.

I wanted to make the sky really gloomy, but if you read the description of the day in the book it said that there wasn't a cloud in the sky. I thought it was more important to stay true to such an important moment in the series.

It's a cloak or robe, but I get your meaning. lol I wont be calling the gramer police THIS TIME.

Thanks. I knew I couldn't get the mood in the sky. So I had to really work hard on teh characters expressions and give everything a very soft, muted feel.
